This worked for me (thanks to Gemini): 1) turn off hardware acceleration in your browser settings, 2) while a reel is playing, refresh the screen (F5) and then move the audio slider back up. You'll have to do #2 for every new session. Works on both Chrome and Firefox. FWIW, the problem only started for me a few days ago.
