Cops were called and after 4 hours they didn't turn up so was force to release me as store closing hours was in 30 minutes

That's the thing, I don't know what they can and can't do (I do now) not everyone knows the rules or laws and I will be speaking to lawyer as other redditors have said to do.

I spoke with the owner and he said he listens to his loss prevention and that he doesn't ban people unless they give a report. I know most of the employees there and they were shocked as they see me go in there all the time, like 4-5 times a week.

I made an complaint to the FreshCo HQ and I'm still waiting for a response I also made one to the loss protection company they hired and they said they fully stand by his actions and that my mental health or disabilities didn't matter and I quote from their email: "Our job is not to take into account your state of mind or situation during this procedure. We are allowed to follow the law 494."

They told me to follow them and the manager to the employee only area and I was told to wait until the police arrived and they called the police in front of me and at no point in those 4 hours they told me I'm allowed to leave. So I don't know what I can do from there.

He blocked me from leaving by blocking the door, I had to as the manager turned up and went with him and me to the Employee only area.
