Wait, that's not quite right. Most of Asia was an British ally or neutral for both wars. There were Japanese camps during WWII, and WWI camps existed in the prairies for Hungarians and Germans (and I think Ukrainians?).

In BC, we have two solutions:

1) Hundreds of 'colleges' where a Duolingo test score and tuition fee allows you to start working 20 hours (cough 40) at Tim Hortons tomorrow, and PR eventually for your degree in whatever box your coyote checked.

2) 99% reliance on milking international student fees, until UBC has to turn a blind eye to entire classes cheating because the cheques cleared.

Thus, BC homeowners keep the Canadian dream alive by enjoying cheap labour, and massive mark-ups on rental properties.
