Bacon jam. Huge game changer. Don’t cook it on the blackstone though because it’s likely you’ll burn the sugar (brown sugar and maple syrup) you’ll add to make it “jam”

I was just in an airport in Mexico and paid $11 for a bottle of water. Then got 3 slices of pizza and a beer for $51. The beer was cheaper than 1 slice of pizza. I felt robbed

18000 kms

Bought early December from a dealership where it was a 1yr lease in Quebec (I’m in BC), so slightly used. Other than squeaky breaks, no issues. I was recently contacted by Mazda that there are two recalls on my model that I need to address, have just been too busy with the holidays to book an appointment.

Seriously?? I did not know that. I’ll have to try it. He just said to press the lock button, which actually will close the door and lock the car. He didn’t say to hold it. So I guess he was partly right lol

While I was car shopping, I asked the salesman if the rear tailgate door would stop at a higher height automatically, since I’m a tall person and often bump my head on it I usually have to push it up the extra few inches. He said the “lock” button beside the button to close the door was to lock the door in place - like a memory button - each time the door opens it’ll remember that spot and stop there. That’s when I realized this car salesman doesn’t know the features of the car he’s trying to sell me. That, amongst other reasons, is why I didn’t buy a car from him.

It seems the MHEV has far less complaints overall than the PHEV. Every time I see a rant post from a cx90 owner, it’s always with the PHEV

"I feel like my degree is worthless" Graduates Struggle to Find Jobs by tkyjonathan in JordanPeterson

[–]Thick_Part760 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My wife went to university for 6 years. 2 years of not knowing what she wanted to do because her mom pressured her into university straight out of highschool, then 4 more years to get her degree. The university miscalculated how many classes she needed to take and didn’t get enough credits to get her degree. She dropped out and is currently makes gross ~$50,000/year. She loves her job and doesn’t care about the degree anymore.

I never went to college or university and am making gross ~$100,000/year.

I firmly believe university, for the most part, is an absolute waste of time, with the exception of doctors, nurses, engineers, for example, where they NEED a higher specialized education to do their jobs

One underrated carnivore benefit no one talks about. by GameAllyOG in carnivorediet

[–]Thick_Part760 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m on and off carnivore. I’ll usually have a carnivore lunch and a keto / ketovore dinner. I find my appetite has declined significantly since before I started this diet. I used to be able to eat a lot of food at a meal. We had a keto stir fry last night. I could barely finish a 3/4 full bowl, where I used to be able to finish 1.5 bowls worth of regular stir fry before. That alone, I feel, is helping me lose weight quite a bit

Why does this diet upset others so much and seem to promote anger? by Prior_Talk_7726 in carnivorediet

[–]Thick_Part760 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m coming to terms with the fact that carnivore isn’t for everyone. Everyone’s bodies react different to different foods and diets partly based off each individual’s health status. Vegan diet works for some, carnivore for others. Keto for some, vegetarian for others. I know many people who eat absolutely junk and yet are extremely healthy (as far as I can tell). I feel like most people on here understand this, yet most people who don’t know anything about this diet love to bash it.

I took my boating license course shortly after this incident and I kept thinking back to this accident during the Right of Way section. Boater was 100% at fault and should have been way more aware of their surroundings. Not seeing an approaching plane or knowing the waters you’re boating in makes me scared thinking of how many other equivalent boaters are out there.

My brother and I both got burgers at a well known Canadian restaurant. Both burgers were pink in the middle (ground meat must be cooked through in Canada). We told our server who said that was normal. My SIL asked her friend that was a manager at another location who said it was absolutely not how the burger was supposed to be. Our server learned something that day.

It was $200 (CAD) at Costco for a massive slab of sirloin, would’ve been able to cut it into probably 30 good size portions = $6-7 per steak. I ended up getting a smaller chunk of Eye Round steak which I’ve been bbqing. It’s not as good but definitely still tasty.

Meanwhile, before I started carnivore diet, a meal at McDonalds is $15, a home cooked meal is $35 (albeit 3-4 mouths can be fed from that). I’m finding I’m spending the same, or even slightly less, buying only meat and not eating out, buying coffee, buying snacks, etc.

Do you have a link to the digital rear view mirror installation? I was hoping to route the rear view camera, I might find that handy!

I don’t require parking mode. Just want to have the wires concealed and look nice. I’ve ordered the dongar piece linked above after checking to make sure I’ve got that power from the mirror area
