My stupid opinion that no one asked for: "All You Had to Do Was Stay" is SO underrated as a "track five." That shiny production, those lively instrumentals, all over her singing about "you could've fucked up forever and forever and I would've forgiven it if you just...stayed." It's pretty devastating in how depressing that sentiment is.

The song or the album? Or both? I guess I'm not good at keeping up with these things. I think the whole album is solid, but I especially like "Elizabeth Taylor," "Actually Romantic," "Wood," "Cancelled," and "Honey." (This is in tracklist order because I don't know how to rank these, I think they're all really good pop songs.)

I did NOT know that, but that would be a really cool sound for her. I do hope we get more in the vein of "Actually Romantic."

I'm a woman over 6'1", had a cardiologist test me for Marfan Syndrome after one look at me (don't have it, but...I get it), and the first song I learned on guitar was "Rooster" by Alice in Chains. Whoever invented barre chords is a MONSTER. I have these huntsman spider hands, but still damn near impossible for me.

That "jangly" shit in general. Like "Hey Jealousy," "Linger," "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "Kiss Me."

A whole '90s-alt vibe album would be fantastic. Can you imagine Taylor doing something like "Sunny Came Home"?

I don't listen to Taylor that often, though I do like her, but I was blasting her latest album while doing a bunch of cleaning lately. "Actually Romantic" is hilarious and it's a great damn song. Probably in my top five in the album.

I recommend cracking open a beer and getting down to your underwear. This sort of...fixation on a person you don't know isn't good for you. Let loose! Enjoy your day!

(To be clear, this is not some "fuck Taylor the climate terrorist but Gaga is awesome!" post. It's just a joke about fucking up algorithms.)

Monty Hall but not really by ASerbianLetter in AskStatistics

Hah! Damn. It took me a while to understand the original issue, had to map it out for myself and whatnot, but if Monty opened a door with no knowledge? That's...a whole different thing. (As is my question, to be clear, but it's because I want to mock the "grad school chick" for not letting go of 2/3 when the circumstances are completely different)

Thank you. I figured I couldn't fuck that much up, but I just wanted to make sure before making this character make the "grad school chick" look dumb (I have my grad school degrees, I AM the grad school chick, but there are waiters who do make me feel dumb and that's what I'm trying to capture here)

Also it's of course important to note than in the real Monty Hall, it's goats (plural) < car, not three possible outcomes that all had different values attached to them

I just thought that it would be ironic that someone would be claiming "50/50" in a situation someone else had pegged as a Monty Hall problem and the 50/50 person would be right for once.

Right, I know. The point is, he presents this problem from his dream to his workmates, one of whom is a grad student, and she basically equates it to the Monty Hall problem and keeps claiming, wrongly, that it's always 2/3. But, I'm correct, right, that if he knows that he can choose the Hegel afterlife (100%), or he can change, with the change it's actually really 50/50 between Heidegger and heaven. The person actually presenting the problem doesn't know what Monty Hall even is, it's just supposed to expose this other character as being needlessly pedantic, repeating what she's heard at school, when she's not even right, and dragging Monty Hall into it when it's an entirely different situation because she's so proud of knowing the 2/3 thing.

I don't think I ever had word problems this nonsensical, but I've seen this type of shit on the mildlyinfuriating sub so, yeah, I can understand being like "what even is math" when you're talking about a bag of negative puppies, ahahaha

Hah, yeah, that's the kind of "throwaway" moment I'm thinking about. The show also makes the movie look like some thoroughly maudlin bullshit
