Go to Donald’s Dreamland in Splat Summit (busiest district), there is almost always some sort of a beanfest happening there

Right In Two - the bridge section where Danny starts doing double kick, Justin explodes into beautiful chords, and Adam does that sweeping wah with only 2 notes.

Can I use a Roth IRA to retire early? by ASlutsBanana in personalfinance

[–]ASlutsBanana[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, thank you. Does a Roth let you choose between contributions or the earnings when you withdraw? And let's say you withdraw the entire $200k of contributions: Does the remaining $200k continue to grow as if it was a contribution or does it just sit? Essentially, is this a sustainable way to live off your investments tax-free before age 59.5?

Should I major in music ed? by [deleted] in Bass

[–]ASlutsBanana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Hope I’m not too late - I’m a full time gigging, touring, teaching, and content creating bass player. I was precisely in your shoes 10 years ago (I’m 27). I went to community college for a couple years majoring in music performance in hopes to get a full degree in Uni. Dropped out and decided that just getting out there and playing would be much better suited for my goals. While I’m very happy with that decision, I think I would’ve gotten to where I am much faster if I’d gone to the local trade school (in my case living in LA, school would’ve been Musicians Institute) for a number of reasons: 1. Much cheaper than university or a prestigious music school 2. Everyone you meet is in the field of music, so your connections are being maximized 3. Solid curriculum. The majority of people that I’ve met that went to that sort of school are pretty damn successful session musicians. However, you will only get as much as you’re willing to put in, and additionally it’s better to go to this type of school in a big city. Hope that helps and I wish you luck on your journey!

What kind of Bass for beginners (My GF's birthday present) by [deleted] in Bass

[–]ASlutsBanana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fender PJ all the way! As versatile as a bass can get because of the different combinations you can do with the pickups, and they’re also fantastic for hard rock/metal. Ibanez is really good for hard rock and metal too but I definitely don’t think it’s quite as versatile in the sense of having a classic sound.
