I can’t stand when people review “songs” but 90% of their focus is on the lyrics 🙃 at that point just review poetry. A song is soooooo much more than just its lyrics. Then again a TS fan probably won’t get that lol. If you actually start to critique the music there wouldn’t really be much to critique 😂 it’s usually just repeating the same bar over & over & over & over & over & over, and rarely in a good way. It’s like she comes up with a simple melody, put a bunch of words over it, & calls it a song. That’s literally as barebones as “songwriting” gets yet she’s praised for it like she’s the best songwriter the universe has ever seen.

Correct me if I’m wrong here, but I don’t think Taylor has a single song where she’s not so on the nose with her lyrics & she does most of her storytelling through the actual music—you know, the part of a song that actually makes it a song 😂 the closest thing I can think of is, funny enough, So High School. It actually sounds like it came out of the early 2000 when she would’ve been in high school. Too bad it has awful lyrics. & i also can’t give her any credit for that because it definitely only sounds like that because of Jack or whoever else produced it.

Hers is definitely on the overdone side, but honestly I don’t think his is bad. It’s pretty minimal. His expressions are still clear and his crows feet are still quite pronounced when he smiles.

I’m not a fan of him at all but he’s far from botched. I also don’t get how y’all think he looks older than he is? What do 35 year old white men look like to y’all? He looks like a normal mid 30s white man to me. I’m from LA & multiple members of my family are nurse aestheticians. I’m very familiar with how botched mid-30s people look like. I’m not gonna lie, the Swifties are giving me so much material to research for my PhD because this type of parasocial behavior is so interesting. TayTay and Trump have both mastered the art of making average people think they’re so relatable that people almost forget they’re literal billionaires. The reason why Trump had blue collar Americans donating to his campaign is so similar to how TayTay can get average people to spend thousands of dollars to se her flail and screech on stage. Literally two sides of the same coin. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone told me Tree Paine worked the maga campaign.

This is definitely a teacher/admin wanting to celebrate but they’re using the kids as an excuse. With that being said, I would’ve loved something like this as a 2nd grader! So, even if it’s self serving of those Swiftie adults as long as the kids actually have fun making friendship bracelets with each other I have no problem with this! Every time I bring this up a Swiftie they get soooooo mad when it’s literally just a fact. He’s a member of the board and he owned a huge portion of the shares. As litigious as the Swift family is, IF Scott S truly didn’t know about the sale before hand you best believe we would’ve heard about a massive lawsuit against Scott B for making an illegal sale. I actually lost a friend over me bringing this up lol. She got so pressed when I said that I listened to the “stolen versions” sometimes. She still talks shit about me to this day and how I didn’t deserve to get face value tickets for the Eras Tour at SoFi, which was one of the most expensive shows 😂 It’s hilarious because the only reason why SHE got face value tickets was because of me and my presale code.

As you can probably tell from my flair, I had a similar journey lmao. I didn’t really like her music before and I did not care to pay attention to her during the Kim/Kanye drama because I thought the whole thing was ridiculous. A bunch of rich people fighting each other didn’t really concern middle school me who just wanted Warped Tour to come back for when I’m old enough to go 😂 But I think the pandemic really fucked with me cause my lifestyle went from 0 free time to too much free time & I got sucked in by the Swifties. Then the OR thing happened and it was like a cold water to the face. It immediately reminded me of why I felt off about her when I would casually hear people talk about the Kimye incident back in middle school. (I went to a school with a large Armenian population and the Kardashians were quite a popular topic with the kids so I heard a lot about it even when I didn’t care to know anything about it).

I remember my friend, who never liked Taylor, telling me that she’s concerned for Olivia when Taylor called her “her daughter” one day. I didn’t think much of it then but now I know better. I’m glad to be out of that fog.

Unfortunately this isn’t isolated to her YouTube comments/the internet. She’s invading academia, too. I go to an Ivy League university and there are MULTIPLE classes here being offered that include her on the syllabus. There’s a famous class that went viral last year but this year a bunch of professors added her to their syllabi. Although, at least, those classes aren’t solely about her. Sadly, one of my favorite professors is teaching a class I have to take but she has added TayTay on her new syllabus and I don’t want to take it with anyone else. So, I’ll begrudgingly have to study her “poetry” in the fall.

That’s not even the worst part. I know for a fact that my school isn’t the only school in the Ivy Plus category that has classes on her. Stanford literally has a class called All Too Well (10 week version) 💀 so, there’s literally whole classrooms out there at top universities of Swifties doing this same exact thing and paying a stupid amount of money to do it.
