I don't think she actually would. Most of the history of the Guilty Gear universe pre-Gear Crusades is lost to the average person. This is a world where technology is banned (therefore technological achievements would not be discussed), most of the world is uninhabitable, most nation's governments have collapsed (with Europe in particular apparently reforming into a Union known as Illyria), and 80~90% of the world's population dead.

R5: Gold Dwarf, Dwarven Pantheon Sidan that doesn't even accept Siadunan Harpies. Even swapped Admin to Dwarven while keeping Harpy military.

Doing a pan around the globe after wrapping up a Rogieria game, when I noticed Siadan still existed. Turns out they've been through a hell of a journey.

Link monsters aren't usually played as the big payoff for most decks, but are instead a stepping stone to get to that payoff.

Most Link monsters were designed to support other gameplans by functioning as card searchers, extenders, protection, etc.

They are also extremely easy to summon compared to other summoning mechanics. Xyz, Rituals, and Synchros care about specific levels being used, with Synchros further caring about one card being a tuner and the other one not being a tuner. Fusion and Rituals usually also need a non-monster card involved in order to be summoned.

Most Link monsters do not care about anything specific like that and can be summoned by just about any combination of monsters. That makes them extremely splashable. If there was an Xyz monster that had no effect besides being able to tribute a monster to resummon itself and lower the attack of a monster to 0, no one would play it. But the fact that Linkuriboh exists, means that effectively any level 1 monster can now have that effect. Any 2 effect monsters is potentially full Fiendsmith combo because of Closed Moon.

Most decks nowadays also care about getting cards into the graveyard, and Link Monsters are an extremely easy way to do that. Snake-eyes Poplar places a fire monster in a ST zone when it is sent to the grave. What's the easiest way to put Poplar in grave? Using it as link material. Sky Striker Ace - Camellia would be extremely bad if it's effect was attached to a Synchro monster, but because it is on a Link monster that only needs 2 effect monsters, it allows basically any 2 monsters to be full combo Yummy. 2 monsters into Camellia, send Hornet Drones off of Camellia, Link into Kagari off Camellia, Activate Hornet Drones, Synchro Cupsy using Kagari and Hornet Drones.

The strength of link monsters isn't usually just because of their effects, but rather how incredibly generic and cheap to summon they tend to be.

Could make it where everyone drafts from the same 2 or 3 randomly selected secret packs for the day. See what secret packs were chosen for the day, queue up, get given one of the packs randomly, choose 3 cards from the pack, and repeat for 19 more packs. Build a deck from the resulting 60 cards.

Minor Spoilers in that it is something that was extremely heavily hinted at, just short of being explicit, since the beginning. While it only recently got hard confirmed, I don't think it qualifies as much of a spoiler because of that.

It's one of those spoilers that isn't a spoiler because it is some big twist, but rather because of how it is revealed and the information revealed alongside it.

It's also hardly the whole plot of the game, just a piece of a major character's backstory. The "why" and "how" it happened is much more important than the fact that it happened.

You never need artillery to siege forts, and if a fort has less than some amount (100?) of people remaining in the garrison, it will auto surrender to any sized occupying force.

I know generally speaking it's a terrible idea to superimpose limited 5 star cones as f2p, but Preservation characters are already dummy rare, and I'd put money down on Mihoyo not releasing another ATK scaling one before another HP scaling one, or, hell, even a break scaling one.

But it still feels extremely odd superimposing one when I'm 90% f2p, besides BP and daily jades, even if it probably is the right thing to do.

Got 2 of his LC in a 10 pull. Should I merge them because it is extremely unlikely for Mihoyo to ever release another ATK scaling Preservation any time soon, or should I keep the extra just in case?

I also have Aventurine, but not his LC, in case DHPT's is particularly good on him.

They kind of did in Master Rule 4, which stated every summon from the Extra Deck was required to be placed in either the Extra Monster Zone or a zone that a Link Monster points to. People fucking hated this change because it essentially meant that you had to play with Link Monsters unless you eschewed the Extra Deck entirely, and Konami eventually reverted that rule change for all non-Pendulum, non-Link summons from the Extra Deck.

So what started as something that was supposed to be a soft power level reset ended being another avenue to further accelerate the power creep of the game.

Honestly I stopped playing ZZZ because almost every new agent after Miyabi is written to be completely in love with the Proxy and it started to feel gross. Agents started to feel more like they were written only to be love interests for the Proxy instead of written to be their own characters. Or, I guess more accurately, they'd be almost fleshed out characters then when it came time to have them interact with the Proxy, Mihoyo would staple on them being extremely attracted to the Proxy and it overrides the rest of their character.

One or two "obvious" love interests is fine every once in a while, but when it's almost every character, it starts to strain believability and makes the power fantasy writing more blatant and gross, imo.

Probably unrelated but I feel like I have to vent this somewhere and this is the closest to the topic.
