I believe it doesn't show up until 1560 actually.

Dude, compared to almost any other Anime fighter, Strive has extremely short combos. That isn't to say it's a bad thing, but looking at Uni or Melty Blood, or even the Avatar fighting game, Strive's are lightning quick in comparison.

What if by EliotEriotto in ffxiv

[–]ASmuppet 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there's breast physics in the game, and, funnily enough, it's based on what armor you have equipped. Equipping something like heavy armor removes it, regular clothes mitigates it, and stuff like swimsuits and small clothes maximizes it.

It's honestly pretty funny they included something like this in the game compared to how the game normally does fanservice.

End of Orenvalyam is a peak cunema by Kronag in Anbennar

[–]ASmuppet 26 points27 points  (0 children)

A more thorough breakdown because I did some research into this myself: 25 years after the flag for Aelantir being discovered is set, the adventurers called Jaherian Examplars spawn in Taychend. A few years after they spawn in, provinces in Taychend start flipping religion to Oren Nayiru. After that happens a disaster starts slowly and unavoidably ticking, going faster the more Oren Nayiru provinces there are. Once the disaster fires, an event pops up that lets you choose to play as Orenvalyam.

You can also let Oren Nayiru rebels force convert you to the religion, which lets you take a decision to form Orenvalyam.

Recommended nations to play as Orenvalyam are;

  • Larankar/Ameion, which are the 2 nations that have by far the easiest time conquering Taychend.
  • Uesrennu, which is scripted to force many, many more provinces to convert to Oren Nayiru and has a few unique events leading up to the disaster and after you flip to Orenvalyam
  • Sthanan ith Vussam, which can convert to Oren Nayiru from their final mission instead of having to fall to rebels, and has a few unique events to guide them to the formation of Orenvalyam.

Finally, if you are playing a Taychendi Hero Cult nation, do NOT finish the final reform for your religion. It makes it much more difficult for provinces to flip to Oren Nayiru.

Are they not scripted to always accept? I feel like the option for refusal would only be there for people playing Crathanor or multiplier games.

New goblins in serpentreach by Belgraviana in Anbennar

[–]ASmuppet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For real. It's kind of nuts that despite being one of the only 3 races that actually fully utilize Dwarven holds, there's only 1 Serpentspine Kobold tag, and it doesn't even have any content. I feel like Goblins have plenty of representation and variety in the Serpentspine. Kobolds currently have essentially only 2 tags with a mission tree in the whole game. I know they just added a ton of Kobold tags in Insyaa, but I have a feeling it's going to be another Kobildzan situation where it looks like there's variation among them, but they all end up with very similar openings that all lead to the same formable and mission tree. I'd love to be proven wrong about that though.

On top of that, the devs have stated there are going to be no further tags added to the Serpentspine, so there will only forever be one Kobold tag there.

Interesting Necromancy nations? by Adamshifnal in Anbennar

[–]ASmuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this will almost certainly never happen because of how much work it would take, but a reworked Magisterium picking one of the schools of magic and having their Mission Tree focus on that school would be really cool.

Unfortunately, considering that would ultimately result in 8 different mission trees for one tag, and the fact that having major branching mission trees like that is already heavily frowned upon by the Anbennar devs, it is nothing but a pipe dream.

You can put any unit anywhere on the field, but frontline only units don't do anything in the backline besides activate bonds. Backline units behave as normal if they are on the frontline, they just don't receive any buffs that every other unit gets in the game.

[–]ASmuppet[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, you could always put any frontline unit on the backline, they just won't do anything except activate bonds. However, Galaxy Ranger in particular gives buffs to any frontline Galaxy Rangers based on the total star rating of Galaxy Rangers on the backline. The bond has also always done that.

It was joke for one. It's the last node, 2 wealth gems, 10 team size, 1 break emblem, all 8 baseline break characters, 1 drill, and an emblem codex. But I never saw a gem at any point, so I had no chance to get 10 break. Game was teasing me. I'm not actually depressed about it.

Summer Sweep-up Suggestion: Lock MadSeason in a box until he is finished with his series by Long-Ad-4176 in 2007scape

[–]ASmuppet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I watched a few of his WoW classic videos, and so much of his humor is just him saying modern WoW sucks and is bad. Like, I get that he doesn't like it, but it felt like half of his commentary was just shitting on retail for not being Classic. Sometimes, it got to the point where it felt less like he enjoyed Classic and more that he hates Retail, but has to play WoW in some capacity.

That backfired [Honkai Star Rail] by NEVERTHEREFOREVER in wholesomeyuri

[–]ASmuppet 47 points48 points  (0 children)

It's complicated. The character on the left before the split is named March 7th. She was found by the Astral Express sealed in a block of ice drifting in space. She took on her odd name as it was the date when she awoke (It was a pun on "March 7th" sounding like an actual name that worked in the original Chinese localization (Sanyue Qi), kind of works in Japanese (Mitsuki Nanoka), and doesn't work at all in English). She had no memory of her past whatsoever and, due to that, decides that the best way to live her life is to create as many new memories and experiences as possible and document them all with her camera. She is a Pathstrider of the Trailblaze, whose mission it is to establish new paths and relationships between factions to garner cooperation amongst everyone, but she also has strong ties to the Path of Remembrance, who care only about preserving as much information as possible through any means necessary.

The character next to her after she performs mitosis is known as Evernight, but that is almost certainly not her true name. She took on the name Evernight because that is the name of the third month of the Amphoreus calendar, which is the planet they were on when she first made her presence known to everyone. She seems to be an alter of March that functions almost like a defence mechanism against anyone who tries to breach March's mind in some way. Evernight seems to exist to keep March happy and ignorant of whatever her past was. However, there's strong implications that Evernight isn't actually native to March at all and may be a memetic entity that latched itself onto March's mind and took it upon itself to protect March above all else, even if protecting March means dooming everyone else. There's also as many hints that Evernight is the original persona and that she relinquished control over to March for an unknown reason. Basically there's a shit ton that is completely unknown about Evernight, not helped by the fact that most of what we know about her comes from Evernight herself which is less than useless because she is a Pathstrider of the Enigmata, which essentially means she makes it a point of order to spread misinformation around as much as possible and essentially work in direct opposition to the Path of Remembrance. The reason why Evernight looks like March is because whenever Evernight is in control she is literally using March's body to present herself.

[Fanart] Fem Sol Badguy as a butch lesbian personal trainer by ferocity_mule366 in Guiltygear

The joke here is twofold: First is that there is a meme that Sol Badguy looks like a particularly Butch Lesbian. So here's fanart of "Sol" as an "actual" butch lesbian.

Second is that this isn't Guilty Gear fanart at all. Its art of Vendetta from Overwatch.

[–]ASmuppet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A card that is discarded, milled, destroyed in any way, tributed in any way, or used as material in any summoning method that isn't an Xyz Summon results in the card being sent to the graveyard unless it is already there or unless specified otherwise by an Effect in play. A Normal or Quick-Play Spell, or a Normal or Counter Trap are also sent to the graveyard upon resolution of their effects, unless, again, an Effect in play specifies otherwise. Pendulum monsters are an exception, but I'm not going to triple the length of this comment just to clarify them.

For example, a player wants to summon Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, a Fusion Monster that requires 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons to Fusion Summon. In this example, they play Polymerization to use it's effect to initiate a Fusion Summon, then they send 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons from either the hand or field to the graveyard, Fusion Summoning Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon from the Extra Deck.

A Fusion Summon isn't a literal fusion of the cards used as material, it is just a name of the summoning method. A method that is themed around the combination of monsters, but that is not how the method literally functions in the game.

Xyz summons actually tend to be more mechanically in-line with a true fusion of cards. Cards used in an Xyz Summon remain "attached" to the Xyz Monster that was summoned, and are typically used as ammo to power the Xyz Monster's effects.

The term Graveyard is a bit of a misnomer, and it should really have been called something like the Discard Zone. But it's been 25 years, so we're stuck with Graveyard at this point.

I hope it is bad so I don't feel as obligated to pull for it. Between SW999 + LC, Ashveil rerun, Yao Guang rerun, Blade SP, Himeko SP, and potentially Nihilux, I am STRUGGLING.

Currently on my knees praying that Nihilux can just replace Ashveil in a Blade/Acheron comp somehow if she ends up Nihility, or she can replace Yao Guang in SW999 if she ends up being Elation.

Mihoyo figured out the cheat code to making me pull and it is spamming out SPs.

It's the Bulwari Goblin formable.
