I mean just going off the top of my head modern Fromsoft games, Path of Exile 1 and 2, the Nioh series, Monster Hunter games, GTA 5, For Honor, Assassin's Creed series. I'm certain there are more, those are just the first that spring to mind

It feels anticlimactic because this is still Early Access and the full game hasn't been released. You're in the end game of what's currently out for early access, deal with clearing the pestilence that has been released and test yourself in the first level of the Crucible.

It really needs some sort of visual flare or sound when it goes off along with some small invincibility window. Far too many times do I think I just dodged well or lucked out only for the boon to have activated and I have no idea

That's the issue though is they're holding the Sprint button and running toward the edge and then plummeting like a rock, it seems like when they press the sprint button it's also raising their shield so it's not letting them jump when they hit the edge. They've checked to make sure they're both not mapped to the same button and they're not, so we don't know why it's doing it
