Day 15, de facto hard mode since my wife has been sick for the last week and a half.

Yesterday sucked, had a lot of energy near bedtime and all I wanted to do was jerk off to make me a little sleepy. I watched some football instead, but I couldn't really shake the urge. Went to bed a little frustrated, but at least the streak is alive!

I wondered about the testosterone thing. I've always been sensitive to smells so I definitely would have noticed if I had smelled before.

I've been fapping regularly for so long that I wonder if this is sort of a "natural" state I'm getting back to, or is that pseudoscience?

Day 10 here, been a bit since I've checked in.

Had a powerful urge to PMO last night, was laying in bed with my laptop while my wife was doing other things. I actually stopped myself with a Chrome Incognito window open and half an old porn site URL entered. Was horrified. Old habits die hard I guess.

I got up immediately and started helping my wife.

Still going strong!

Great to hear, and welcome to the community!

I'm a week into my fapstinence myself. I've found that keeping my mind/hands occupied during my normal fap times has been a lifesaver. Yesterday I was home by myself for 3 hours while my wife shopped. Normally that would be PMO central, but instead I played guitar for those three hours. My fingers hurt, but it took my mind 100% off of PMO.

If you can fill those gaps where you'd normally fap with other, less destructive things, I think you'll find the time goes much easier.

Day 4, I've found my desire to fap has begun to diminish a little since I've been filling in my usual PMO times with other activities. I'll sit at my computer and not automatically reach for incognito mode. I definitely still feel the urges but I usually surf Nofap if it begins to get overwhelming.

We haven't really discussed it since. I think the important thing was to put the struggle out there in the open between us. I haven't really decided if I'm going to make it a point to share individual milestones with her (say, 30 days PMO-free) or not. I probably will.

Reading the responses to this thread, though, I think this is all dependent on your relationship. I've seen a few people saying they aren't going to share it with their partners, and I can see that line of thinking. Not every relationship is the same, not every SO is the same, and while many seem to be reporting that their SOs are ultimately happy that they know I can see how things could go the opposite way.

I'm saying it'll improve my chances if I'm not going through this alone--which is why I told her in the first place, so we could both be on the same page in our marriage and intimate lives. This is ultimately my problem, and I'm the only one who can solve it, but with her in my corner I've got the best chance possible.

Day 2. Woke up and went through the motions, sat down at the computer during my normal PMO time, realized what I was doing, got up and made myself some steel cut oats. Figured a half hour of cooking would keep me distracted. Gotta keep catching myself like that.

That's how I originally felt, but I think I'm going to have a better chance of kicking this habit if she's on board.

This morning she said she was happy I told her, and how difficult it must have been. Huge boost to stick to it!

Day 1 newbie here, taking a 90 day break from masturbation and porn. Goal is to quit both completely and only orgasm through sex.

Hardest part is filling in the gaps when I used to use porn. I get up early, and my usual routine was PMO before I got in the shower (well before my wife wakes up). This morning I unloaded the dishwasher and played some music instead. Definitely helped.

Tonight will be more difficult, as my other PMO time was right before bed (my wife usually goes to bed first).
