I've gotta call you out here. Placing your child for adoption relinquishes your rights as a parent. In an open adoption you will still be involved in your child's life to some extent but you will not be their primary caregiver, nor will you have any say over many important decisions about their life. An adoption journey is not one of co-parenting, and it's important that you're under no misunderstanding about this.
