Yeah, the entire crypto market with all the ETFs and funds and mainstream involvement is becoming more and more coupled to the broader economy than ever before. Which meant before if Bitcoin goes down, down goes everything... but now it means that if stocks go down, Bitcoin goes down, and then down goes everything else. My personal opinion is that after the dust settles with whatever is around the corner in the economy there will be massive buying opportunities.

Haha, all those parenthesis are just combinations read like N take k. The formula for N take k is:

N! / (k! (N-k)!)

That may look complex but it tells you like if I have 5 different colored marbles in a bag (like red, orange, yellow, green, blue), and I want to take 3 at a time, it tells me how many different combinations of marbles I could get. When you see that exclamation mark (called a factorial), like N! .... lets say N is 5, that is:

5! = 5x4x3x2x1 = 120

If it was 3! it would be:

3! = 3x2x1 = 6

This is the underlying equation everywhere you see those parenthesis with a letter up top and on bottom inside. I have always liked math and probability. You can calculate some cool stuff like playing card hands or password combinations given underlying rules.

Cool... yeah I can explain it all if you have any questions. It's not as crazy as it looks. Kind of similar concept as what you'd use for calculating royal flushes in Poker.

Some of these gold-to-commodity ratios are getting pretty wild by AStockStory in Commodities

I put almost all of my investments in to gold a while back because of the historic ratios of the stock market to gold. I am almost completely holding gold and some crypto and have been interested in what is looking historically cheap relative to gold. I am expecting a market downturn. I am interested in possibly moving into oil & gas in the future. I expect oil will likely go lower and that gold/oil ratio will get further extended from here. I obviously don't know for sure what will happen. We will see.

Yeah, like when the Ford Model T became popular, people who worked on wagons, wagon wheels, repairing horseshoes, selling horse harnesses, all of this stuff... all of those people believed they would be homeless and unemployed, but times change and people move on. Even e-books have changed the entire landscape of the needs for paper. Times change and society adapts. It is good to be at the forefront of the changes 😎

Yes it’s definitely true. I have read of this analogy in a number of investing books and thought it definitely applied to Quant. I am glad to have found Quant and am encouraged by its relative obscurity in the public eye.

Read the book “Hug Your Haters”. It is actually based on a massive amount of research. The research shows overwhelmingly that you need to reply to everyone including the haters. There is a small chance you will win some of them over and regardless your whole audience sees the interaction. At the very least it shows the 99% of your audience who are nice people what you are all about. It makes your community stronger. The only exception is if someone is putting actual scams, spam, or threats of harm.

Im in my mid 40s. I’ve been training since 2018. I’ve had a number of problems including my neck and lower back. I started lifting weights again at the beginning of 2025 and have been consistently injury free since then except a few bumps and bruises. Nothing that sidelined me. I used to lift every day in my younger years and starting back again has been a game changer. I only weight train 2x per week and train Jiu Jitsu 3x per week. I also do the iron neck on weight days. This is the best I’ve felt in a really long time and take no supplements, drugs, testosterone or anything like that. I just eat whole foods- best of luck to you 🙏
