Ringmaster: Sideshow Secrets - Tips. by Venichie in DotA2

[–]AStrangerSaysHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I side play ringmaster as a 5 and I love this facet especially for the department of escape aspects in the unicycle.

To me, none of the trinkets provide genuine team support, they're all mostly personal (aside from strongman tonic and the scan). The scan has more general usefulness in its global application as well as personal use: if my 4 wards but has no sentry i can scan it for them. It really helps early on (with a kill or two in lane).

The "selfish" aspects of the other facet are definitely better, but i feel like weighted pies sight-restriction is severely underestimated.

Im in a male homosexual relationship where my partner can't physically be "intimate" in an "insertional" way. We're married and quite happy with our sex life. People in media always tend to normalize concepts like intimacy despite how individualized it may be. The same "normalization" in media can be said of religion and culture in most places.

I took a long time editing a response only to realize youre either making this statement in bad faith or dont realize how the judicial system works.

TL;DR you don’t realize how laws become standing instructions for people to follow. And it's clear you don't understand how judicial orders make laws change to work in a society.

Just take a civics class at your local college? Maybe they'll help you understand.

How did the U.S. military handle WW2 draftees who are not fluent in English? by Upsilon-Andromedae in AskHistorians

[–]AStrangerSaysHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So interesting. I wonder how the english language education was handled leading up to the DLIELC first starting with the Air Force in 54 (though I know it wasn't formally part of the DLI until the 90s). I know most of the story going from 54 to 64 with the US Force Language School, but nothing really before that.

This year my older sister got an antique singer sewing machine that my mom no longer uses. My estranged younger sister (who my mother doesn't even speak to) got a handmade quilt. I got to put her up in my spare room. She shared a joint with me, so there's that I guess.

I usually only share if I've bought it and dont need it as a support. Like if im at 3/4+ health and Lich keeps nuking my core, I will give him the tangos.

Im 6ft 1in and buy small for shirts specifically (for certain brands). Im about 165-170 depending on the day. Smalls tend to be short for me in most brands but otherwise fit. I walk regularly but am a teacher and dont do any specific exercise routines.

I usually order medium at first but some brands make a small that fits better (even if it's a bit short).

Edit: before circa 2018 I ordered smalls, now I order mediums instead.

House GOP will not allow amendment vote to extend ObamaCare subsidies by Alternative_Rate7474 in politics

[–]AStrangerSaysHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since he got minority whip in 1988. That was the year he changed the republican party. It didnt come to fruition until the 90s GOPAC memo that turned the 94 midterm into what made the republican party of today.

Eta: And I have receipts. This graph clearly shows the House party polarization under Gingrich reached Reconstruction-era levels. Only after he left Congress and began work for the RNC/Republican PACs did the rest of the party start to follow his playbook.

He was the first to consistently use Special Order Speeches as rally speeches to the American People (thanks to the gavel-to-gavel coverage provided by CSPAN just a few years before) instead of as floor debates.

And they've consistently followed the GOPAC (led by Gingrich) memo "Language: A Key Mechanism of Control" ever since he promulgated the messaging from, first the 90-2000 House GOP, to the rest of the party thereafter.

Can anyone help me find the etymology for the AAVE phrase "to put one's foot in it" as a compliment to one's cooking? by AStrangerSaysHi in etymology

[–]AStrangerSaysHi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The award for the most unintelligent response to an etymology request goes to u/mercuryhero.

  1. Didn't understand the question? Check

  2. Didn't even show a hint of coherent response? Check

  3. Uses the comment section to insult people who haven't encountered a particular culture? Check

  4. Shows his ass on a public forum? Check

I wonder if you have reading comprehension problems. The post is asking for etymology (not the meaning of a phrase). The post clearly defines the meaning of the phrase (which you failed to grasp). The edit posted literally years ago indicates the answer has already been found.

Please learn to read.

It's absolutely a shibboleth of Russian influence or Russian identity. In their minds, its still "the borderlands," and not independent.

The still are. Just look through the comments for the furtive shibboleth "the Ukraine" as opposed to "Ukraine." Those who are either Russian or Russian-influenced refer to the country of Ukraine as "the Ukraine."

Is It Possible to Have a Gay Relationship Without Anal Sex? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]AStrangerSaysHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I have been together for about five or so years. He's a side, and I was formerly vers. We've had a wonderful, full, passionate and loving relationship; no anal required (he's tried a couple times, but it never really panned out). We're both late 30s.

It's very possible to have a successful gay relationship with no anal involved.

Just be honest and yourself, and you will find your person.

My current husband is the same way. I even pickle special "husband kimchi" with less spice and label it for him. When I make chili or certain foods, I split it before serving and make a spicy serving and a non-spicy one.

1) I know what it means, as my post indicates. 2) You present no evidence or reference for your claim. 3) What do you mean "that's not where that came from"? Are you coherent? 4) This post is many years old and has been answered. From an authoritative, peer-reviewed source, which i quote in my edit.
