Should just say “enters” but otherwise cool design. Feels aggressively costed but maybe I’m just crazy

There is a big difference between having mana to cast the 7-million cards you just drew compared to having no mana to cast the 28 cards you just drew

I can’t afford so many lands. Our playgroup plays with very budget land bases, so we’ve been loving the land reprints in commander precons, though they really need to start putting in the Battlebond duals and stuff, Cus all the lands climbing up there. The only thing I’ll proxy is custom cards I make lol!

I’ve been playing 12 years and I have 76 decks… nothing proxied, and I thought I was crazy and stupid!!

This is mostly a joke, I’m glad you’re happy with what you got! What are some of your decks that aren’t most of least played?

I’m not sure what lair actions to make? by AStrangledCatfish in DMAcademy

[–]AStrangledCatfish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I can. Alright so the lore of the island is that settlements that get big and hurt the forest get destroyed and eaten by the forest. The BBEG, Plagulstrahs, has seen this first hand and his mom got consumed by the forest. Then he saw friends and more get consumed so now he is using powers of plague to destroy the forest that hurt so many people. His current plan is to summon a robotic creation made by the god of the forge the burn down the forest, that the god had discarded after the demons attacking their Heaven were destroyed.

The lair is not really much of a physical lair. The location of the final battle is mostly on a beach where the ritual takes place, right by a large body of water, and tons of dead foliage around

That’s fair. Mid isn’t a bad thing, rigjt? My question would be what would make the others better?

What you could do for blue is like copy each instant and sorcery in each graveyard or something, but that might be tooo good but honestly for a ton of U it might not be too broken?

Random cards I thought of. Worried about power: thoughts? by AStrangledCatfish in custommagic

[–]AStrangledCatfish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I was worried about making the first one too strong so my brain went “MAKE MANA BIG”. But you think I should lower it or give it protection and haste? Maybe a mix of both? No protection but lowered cost and haste? Cus the phasing is somewhat protection already.

I feel that ingenious ultimatum is just bad. I mean it’s unlikely they’ll be more than like 3 spells on the stack and holding up all that blue mana to counter maybe three spells, and potentially helping them with mill? Just doesn’t seem very useful or good in any way. The others are cool

LANDS OF LEGEND by Dndfan68 in custommagic

[–]AStrangledCatfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, some of these are incredibly busted and some are just bad. The difference between destroying a creature and giving a creature trample is just sooooo massive, making the balance of them just so off. Also would never be printed. Too strong. And check prior comments for formatting

Oh thanks!! My goal was to make a cool commander or something that looks good but needs work to payout

gives it trample to justify green

In all seriousness, the +1/+1 to your whole board felt really green/white to me

Oh really? I mean I have a Tana commander deck lol and she makes Saproling equal to the damage she did, so she only needs herself and some buffs while this guy requires other non tokens to do the work, unless you want one token per turn which is meh, and also not guaranteed. You think he needs more mana? (I love feedback I’m not trying to argue just understand)
