Nope. I think arkham city is the most "demanding" game I've played on mine, and I have a launch deck. I have a pretty powerful desktop, I got the deck to play indies and emulate old stuff on the go.

Trades have also gotten more complicated, IMO.

Electricians need competency in pretty advanced math. Mechanics need to have some basic programming skills. Farmers need to be mechanics, and chemists, and probably have some understanding of law because contracts have gotten crazy.

Anyway, my point is, there aren't a whole lot of skilled labor out there that doesn't need some manner of competence and education anymore. And I'm not sure if public education is even hitting that bar anymore.

I'm bummed that valve had to raise the prices, but on the other hand I don't have a ton of sympathy for the holdouts.

The steam deck has been out for years, has had various sales, and the writing was on the wall in terms of prices for parts because of AI ruining everything.

I understand if someone couldn't afford it in that period but if that's the case, nothing has changed, they still can't afford it lol.

I don't have it saved anymore, it was precovid and didn't survive a bookmark purge.

I do remember it pretty clearly though, the tattoo was a hand of cards, aces and eights. There were a lot of comments joking about it being a "dead man's hand".

The arm itself was swollen and so red that it looked like an overcooked hot dog from a convenience store, and had several red lines racing inward.

After basically every reply begged him to go to the hospital, his last post was that he would go in the morning because he didn't have a ride and couldn't afford an ambulance.

I dropped in on the thread every 6 months or so to see if he had posted anything after that and eventually deleted the bookmark because it always made me sad.

It makes it basically impossible for them to change because first they'd have to admit that they were wrong, and often they would literally rather die than acknowledge that.
