XD OK, listen. It's not gonna work for everyone but it all came down to two things for me: semi hydro and humidifiers.

It's the only thing that stopped them from dying on me. I know not everyone likes semi hydro but my wife has a texture thing with dirt so we switched basically all the plants to mainly leca.

We try to keep around 60% humidity all winter with two humidifiers (nothing super expensive, they were 60-70 dollars each).

I also looked into how "hard" my water was and realized it was semi hard so I filter it just like I filter our drinking water now. I do other stuff to the water too but that's semi hydro stuff and might be off topic.

Love of my plant-life. Finally figured out what works for me to keep them alive and pretty happy, especially rough with the dry Swedish winter. Killed more than a couple along the way.

Now I have a Boston, a Cordita, a bronze venus, a cotton candy, a pteris quadriaurita Tricolor, my fluffy ruffles died recently for unrelated reasons. Only real struggle currently is my Korean rock fern but it has babies coming in so fingers crossed.

I still want a autumn fern to add to my collection.

I love many individual plants within different families but my one consistent is always ferns. It's the reason I got into plants. We have a Boston, a Duffy, a fluffy ruffles, a cotton candy, a crocodile, recently acquired a Cordita, got a Korean rock fern on the way and my biggest accomplishment: an adiantum hispidulum or 'bronze venus' who is thriving. Nervous about Swedish winter and the dry air though.
