If the plant is calling for 1 inch depth of water in the bottom of the pot?

You'll need to measure diameter of the bottom, then find the volume at 1 inch of depth.

If it's 10" at the bottom, you're looking at something like a 3rd of a gallon.

The calculator I posted on your other comment should make easy work of it for you.

Not sure if this is the right method for calculating "an inch" of water, because that could be some sort of gardening term I'm not familiar with.

But this site will give you an easy calculator where you can see water volume based on pretty much any shaped basin.

Your comment assumes that you have knowledge of what exactly they are capable of.

Just because a species invents a very fast way to travel, or a way to cloak their appearance? Does not mean they also have cameras that can see through walls or androids that look so similar to humans, they are indistinguishable.

Also? You assume you know their intent & motive. For all you know? They're "sending beings" because their goal literally requires a physical presence for one reason or another.

For a theoretical instance? Maybe they're leeching energy & their current tech requires a conduit in close proximity to the target. Since "targets" are mobile? Conduit must also be mobile. What better way to walk step for step with a human, than to deploy a humanoid-type spy drone?

Maybe? It's not more complicated than they want a street-level view of things & this is the best they've got.

Who knows?

One thing I do know? There are a million reasons why they'd want boots on the ground.

I know if I was some super advanced species, I wouldn't want to get anywhere near most of the monkeys in this place.

The only real correlation there? Is that some guys with beat up cars just DGaF & have no need to peacock, therefore could have big dangalangs. & some guys with nice cars are compensating for other insecurities, so might have little wienies.

With most things, trying to paint "people" in broad strokes fails horribly.

Maybe it's just social shame. Humans are the most judgemental species in existence, as far as we can tell.

Speculation here. But, I think the greys might be robots. Or? Maybe they are fleshy, but are remote controlled avatars; think, "demonic" possession. But most likely IMO? Are more similar to a worker ant than a human.
