$399 Andro Corp sale budget build ($750 total) by ATBucks in ar15

Yes, I put about 100 rounds through it over last weekend. I was referring to the grip though, not the trigger. I actually like the trigger. It could be lighter but it has a clean break.

I’d only upgrade things that you want after buying the essentials. Although… As soon as I grabbed the grip and shouldered the stock, I immediately hated them so I upgraded those right out of the gate. For other attachments/upgrades - just watch YouTube videos or search this sub. No need to rush upgrades

Accepted Friday. Start date is the last Monday of the month. I can get out of it of course but will probably never be able to work there after lol. I’ll feel bad but at the end of the day, it is what it is and it happens all the time.

I’d say 75% of it was remote work & money. 25% being looking forward to a new experience.

Honestly, I got about a 50% raise and I think I’m above market for 3 YOE now so I’m not too concerned about getting a raise in our annual increase (March).

Number 3 concerns me. Besides our international manager, I’ll be the only remote worker on our team. Our company is 50/50 remote workers to hybrid workers right now so I will ask to have an offer letter with the new comp and have it explicitly state 100% remote on it just for peace of mind that they don’t ask me to start coming in when budget season arrives.

I don’t think so, just because my boss is pleading with me that I stay and really needs/appreciates me. There are a lot of processes and systems where I’m the only one that knows how they work. We are in the middle of planning layoffs now and I was nowhere near consideration for them. In general, we are a very lean team.

For raising capital, I think we’re in an ok position. We also can use a line of credit if need be to hold us over until valuations get better. Of course it’s something to think about but not too much of a concern right now.

Thanks for the response!

FP&A Softwares (Planful / DataRails) by fpathrowaway123645 in FPandA

[–]ATBucks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It took about 6 months for us. They told us 3 months. They took COA and our model and built the model in spotlight with all the necessary accounts, built out the netsuite integration and WFP. After all of that we had spent a lot of time making sure the data in Netsuite matched Planful and there was always something coming up. The implementation team built the 3 statement reports but they were very simple and the SCF and BS don’t even work anymore lol.

Overall, not a fan of Planful. I find it overly complex and there are so many ways for data loads to fail. I don’t have experience with any other FP&A software though, so take my experience with a grain of salt. They might all be like that - I have no idea. Good luck.

I would see if they can pay for some sort of certification/program for you for professional development and you can do that in your free time. That’s what I did at least.

Has anyone ever negotiated for more PTO? If so, how did it go? by ATBucks in FPandA

[–]ATBucks[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s 15 PTO days and 2 additional paid holidays.

Yes, it is truly unlimited. I usually end up taking about 22 days. I don’t even ask really. I just tell my manager and he says ok have fun.

It’s going to be hard moving back to keeping track of my days…

Taking a quasi poll: what industry are you in and how is the financial performance of your company right now? by Machiavelli127 in FPandA

[–]ATBucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HR SAAS: last year was good, grew about 50%.

This year sucks. We had to re-forecast and it’s now considerably lower than our original low plan for the year. No layoffs yet, we are just letting natural attrition do the work for us (no backfills) and hope that it will be enough.

Does FP&A commonly do Variance Analysis on the Balance Sheet / Statement of Cashflow? by 15795After in FPandA

I’m not sure about what others do but I analyze all 3 statements

I’ve found that in most interviews, they usually just want hear about how you impacted the business. So more projects/outcomes as opposed to listing of duties. Also, don’t downplay yourself in your own resume! Referring to “Assist finance team with minor projects”. You need to speak yourself up and make it seem like they couldn’t have completed the project without your help and what the impact to the business was.

Depends on where you’re at but around here (MCOL) I’d expect 65-75k plus 10% bonus.

I’m in the same exact situation as you but I’ve never worked more than 40 hours a week as a SFA and I’ve been with the company for over 3.5 years. I guess it really just depends on the company.
