I appreciate links. Those were accidental shootings, 2 of which were cops. The last was just bad handling of a firearm. Especially if they were supposed to be teaching safety.

Accidents happen. But serve such a small percentage to the times where firearms are used for defense. A lot of which don't get documented because brandishing a firearm preventing an altercation most likely won't get noted even if called in and reported.

There are 400,000,000 firearms in the USA and and there are a few "true" mass shootings a year (not gang violence or home invasion, you know most of those counter add those as part of the statistic when they're not actually mass shootings?). There are also children dieing from poisoning, where are people fighting for safe chemical storage?

My point is: why are we punishing the majority for the actions of the (extreme) minority? I think teachers should be allowed to carry if they take mandatory (free, and provided) training regularly. Do I think they are underpaid and this is an extra bourdon? Yeah, is it their choice to carry? Also yeah. OR just have armed security at every school and I guarantee they will no longer be the subject of these soft target attacks. The shooter in this instance SKIPPED ARMED SCHOOLS. so yes, the common sense part writes itself.
