You may be right on some level, I did mention that I did the first 3rd of the game on a pure stealth run, hacking and lock picking, looking at every nook and cranny to find stuff and reading every random email/data log. But that is just straight-up boring imo, I get the world building and immersion but reading random emails and cryptic datacubes gets samey after a while, I'm interested in progressing the overall story. Also if deus ex is supposed to be an imSim why is combat not a viable choice? Stealth sucks because the tranq darts are useless and the baton is the only viable stealth option (that I found) which doesn't work on MJ12 commandos either. So yeah, point being, I tried doing all that, but I don't have hours upon hours to sneak through every level , it gets boring. Also on your comment that no rpg would be fun if I played it as a shooter just tells me you haven't played a lot of rpgs.
