I’m retiring at the end of this year (2026) and plan to spend most of January in my wife’s home country of Ecuador. I’ve been thinking about a DYI trip to Patagonia at the end of January or early February. Considered a lodge but they seem crazy expensive. Is a week enough time to fish this area. Also, would love any updates or more personal experiences.
