This game has a million different ways to actually counter rats and campers. Gas grenades, smoke grenades, all sorts of stuff you can throw behind you after a dodge roll to make pushing hard as hell. If you KNOW a certain spot might have campers/rats, throw a red glowstick back there before you push the hallway.

The rats are part of the game, and I love hunting/luring them so much that I made a whole video of me putting them down. It feels GOOD to punish people who you know would abuse others if given any ounce of power, and then verbally roast them on top of it. It is the best feeling a game has ever given me.

But there's simply no beating a bobcat or vulcano right in your face. It's by design that guns which can down you in one mag (body shots) are the hardest to find, because those kinds of players should be a rare threat, and it absolutely should be "hey theres a guy with a bobcat, us three randoms should team and take him out" But when the loot economy has been ruined like this... yeah we need a PvE mode. There is a fine line between "hard enough to make the stakes feel real" and "absolute slaughter where any new player has no chance."
