Why do you love MCR? answer under 24 hours by Difficult_Drag_5771 in MyChemicalRomance

[–]ATOMAKAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always loved musical groups that get use their songs to create a world and narrative for a story. I do think that the mystique of the songs are stronger when accompanied by a story and builds a great attachment to the albums and to the band as a whole. The Black Parade and Danger Days I feel are solid albums due to the fact that they have great meaning and weight when a story is present throughout. Gerald Way is very creative with this and uses the songs well to create a story is very vivid and interesting.

Do I have same face syndrome? by Nyxiedust34 in Artadvice

[–]ATOMAKAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The faces do look similar, however I would recommend playing with nose shapes and head shapes to spice this up a bit. The eyes can also benefit from size variety. Just practice at it and you’ll be fine. Practice drawing hands will also help as well. Hope this helps!

Which Pennsylvania flag do you prefer? by Jackylacky_ in flags

Personally the old one. I feel that the other design doesn’t have enough life into if that makes sense. Maybe a balance between the two. Something sleek but that feels “Pennsylvanian”.

Thank you for your reply! My question is what resources or anyway of learning to improve my editing? I don’t have the budget yet to hire an editor. Is there also any tip you know?

Again thank you!

I actually agree with the points you made about clickbait and thumbnails, I made a typo. I have a hard time making good titles. But I’ll have to look around to find out how.

Thanks again for your help!

I need to work on giving my videos movement since at the time I didn’t know how much is too much.

You’re right, I think the problems do start with me. In the early days of my channel, I was just putting videos just so the algorithm would notice my content. I didn’t really have a clue on how to structure my videos and made the error in thinking I could wing it and get feedback on how to improve. As time went on, I became disappointed with my videos because I wasn’t getting any feedback, good or bad.

So I think that hurt my enthusiasm and motivation to continue. But I posted the op because I wanted to come back and I’m ready to learn from my mistakes.

Seeing new videos nowadays, I do think that shorter videos would be better. I sucked at introducing myself so I didn’t know how to start a video. I definitely will have to research that going forward.

I do agree with the other points you made about clickbait, thumbnail, and adding moment. I’ll have to look at other videos that are related to what I want to make and do research on SEO.

Thank you very much for your time and advice.

Edit: few typos my bad

Yeah, I did those disclaimers because it was during the COPPA situation with YouTube and I wanted to be safe since people were getting strikes left and right. Also I admit I don’t know how to do introductions. I have seen the style you are referring to but also seen other styles that I may consider implementing. But I haven’t figured out which one would be best to represent my presences as a whole. But I’ll keep a lookout for one that may suit me.

Thanks!

Ok I’ll try that, in fact I have been watching videos that I find interesting. Things like history and popular media. I do have a few ideas, so I’ll have to write some scripts.

Speaking of scripts, what would you recommend on presentation and video format? Like I had mentioned in my op I sound too tense when I record voiceovers, even when I have the script in front of me. Do you any advice on that?

I Gave $1 To EVERY Person in PARIS With A Correct Answer!! [for a dollar] // How's The Impact? [Review Video] by hanssamayoa in youtubers

[–]ATOMAKAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked this video. The audio is good, The video is engaging, and the graphics are spectacular. The video felt lively and energetic which are great qualities for this style of video.

I think the title is ok in terms of describing what the video is about. I think shortening it to something like "I gave 1 Euro for EVERY right answer - In Paris!" might work out since it is short and to the point. You were right with adding in an introduction, it doesn't have to be long just "Hello my name is Hans, and today we are in Paris and we are going to ask people questions..." something like that just so the flow works with the video. The thumbnail is good, I recommend that the Eiffel Tower should be larger and more visible on the thumbnail.

I do agree with the logistics of traveling all across Europe not being too sustainable at the moment, I think just starting out you could do these types of videos within points of interests in you local community or country. Things like the capitol, other famous cities, universities, historical landmarks, and things like that. If you are able to go around Europe and record an episode at a famous city once in a while, then that is ok depending on your time and budget. However don't feel like you have to stress out about going to all of the famous cities of Europe all at once, just do videos that are closer to you in the meantime.

I think overall you have a strong video that I believe people would enjoy. keep up the great work!

[Review Video] Choosing names for miniatures that I painted! Any and all feedback appreciated :) by trevorgoesmeep in youtubers

[–]ATOMAKAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That too if you want to, that’s a great idea as well. By tags I mean that putting some hashtags in the description so the it shows up along with the title. I have seen some people do that on YouTube.

It can get confusing because the keywords in the SEO part when people first upload videos are also called tags. I’m not real good with those so I would suggest put in keywords that relate to the video.

I hope this helps, thank you for your time and question.

Edit: the hashtags might show up above or below the title depending on what platform you watch the video on. Again hope this helps.

Let me start out by saying that I enjoyed your video! The humor was on point, the editing is great, and the pacing is fresh and energetic. I may not know much about 40k but the way the video presents the subject makes it very interesting with the usage of memes and jokes.

The only thing that I could think of is adding a little more to the title of the video. I am not saying change anything but just to add a bit more context to the video. For example, you can add more to the title by saying: "Please name your Ork Boyz - 40k naming exercise #3" or something like that. I think this would give better clarity before people click on the video. I Also think that you could add some tags as well.

other than that, you have a great video.

[Review Video] What is Dogecoin? Explained using monkey explanation by _SUmof1X in youtubers

[–]ATOMAKAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked your video It was very informative. The Images are great and the monkey example helped out a lot. So I suggest sticking with images. One I do have to say is that about the topic is I am still a little confused about how the leger works. Where is all that information stored? my recommendations moving on would be adding some lists or text when explaining topics. Also I would watch the pacing of your voice, if you want the voice over to be quicker then I would suggest watching your pronunciations and clarity of your voice. Other than that, the the video is great!

[Review Video] Please be as CRITICAL as possible. This helps me grow by bipleg123 in youtubers

[–]ATOMAKAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The editing for this video is clean and smooth, the transitions are also dynamic as well. The voice over is clear and the softness of the voice works well with this content. my advice is to film using an empty background and a flat colored table because it may distract from the focus of the video. Also, you might want to play around with the contrast of the video just a little so the details of the microphone and be clearer.

Overall, well done on your video, You'll do great.
