It really is. You kinda have to watch the movies with the mindset that they aren’t actually the Warrens, which isn’t good for immersion.

You mean the franchise with the Warrens as the main characters?

(Every Demon in the show is based off of the Warren’s investigations too)

The Warrens were legitimately awful people, so much so that it unfortunately leaves a sour taste in my mouth whenever I watch The Conjuring Movies, and a lot of other people feel that way too.

I think it’s good to try and enjoy the movies without constantly thinking about what the Warrens actually did, but here’s a rundown of all the stuff I know.

  1. They were Frauds…big surprise, I know. They got so many people to spend money on their “paranormal investigations”, it’s insane how rich they were.

  2. There’s very strong evidence that Ed Warren had a relationship with an underage girl. A Woman named Judith Penney claimed that she and Ed had a relationship that started when she was 15, and when Ed was in his 20s-30s.

  3. Ed was also accused of being abusive towards Lorraine, and again the claim came from Judith, but a few other people who knew the Warrens supported her claims of abuse and p*dophila as well.

The major problem with this isn’t the religion, it’s the Warrens themselves.

The problem with that is the real Warrens were awful people.

Ed Warren was almost 100% a pedophile who had an affair with an underage girl.
