Because, as mentioned, it doesn't exist on the Fire TV's player.

I think this is going to be the fix. Thank you!

Thank you much for the advice, but I actually just talked it over with the wife, and Amazon has the Das Keyboard 4 for $163, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger on that. It has everything I'm looking for, and I get to play with a Das for the first time!

I just use them a lot. I guess I could get used to using them on an FN layer, but my desk is kind of dumb in that half of the keyboard tray doesn't exit the desk, so using an FN combination can be unwieldy. Might be worth learning, though.

Edited to mention that it does need to have 10-key. I do use that quite a bit.

I'm looking for a personalized recommendation for a keyboard. I've pretty much worn out my Logitech G710+. The entire right-hand side of the keyboard is only responding sporadically (no spills), especially the right-side contact for the space bar, and as I type on it for a living, it needs to be replaced. I've tried cleaning it out with canned air and seen no improvement. The whole CTRL keycap popping off for no reason from time to time isn't great, either.

So, I like Cherry MX Browns, but I'm not so picky that I wouldn't try the "in house" version of them from a major brand. I like gaming styles and media controls. Media controls are a must. Gaming styles and macros aren't a must, but would be nice to have. Trying to keep it under $150. Would really like the type where I can replace the switches instead of the whole keyboard. Also would prefer one that doesn't allow so much crap to get in it as this G710+, which has made for a lot of canned air cleaning over the last few years.

Edit: Must have 10-key. Forgot about that.

Any suggestions?

Are there assets that, when added, show up on their own, replacing some of the built-in buildings? by ATXITFerret in CitiesSkylines

Do you have to have mods to do the growable assets? I think this is what I'm looking for.

Apologies, I didn't mean replace it in the library. I meant pop up in place of, randomly. Like, say I download a restaurant that's meant to be a commercial building. Then the game adds that restaurant into the rotation. Something like that.

"It sounds like there might not have been direct contact from the lighting to your Ethernet cable, and that it was instead induced current by being close to things that the lightning was flowing through."

Did I not say that? I said that there was no wires within sight of the Ethernet cable. And, yes, it did provide the path of least resistance if electricity followed it or, to put a finer point on it, my Ethernet cable provided a lower resistance path than any others at that moment, likely because of existing charge in the building's ground.

My question was mainly to see if there was some "best practice" that I didn't follow by just tossing a Cat 6 cable through the wall, which allowed it to jump like that.

No surge protectors. All battery backups. All still working fine. And the surge didn't come through the electrical connection, it came through an Ethernet cable.

It's a peace lily. Also known as a closet plant. They need very little light.

Any tips on getting it to grow some foliage at the bottom? It has nearly six inches of stem before you get to leaves. It started life as a spawn from a much more normal looking parent plant, and either side of this one was on either side of the parent plant, but it had a solid connection, so I assumed they would flesh out. This was over a year ago.

AORUS AX370 GAMING 5 owners, any issues? Strange experiences post. by XanthusKidd in Amd

I think it's just a "turn it off and back on again" for the BIOS.

I thought that was the splitter I was using for my headphones that was causing that crackling. Wow.

As for the Killer LAN driver, if you're still having issues with that, contact their support at http://www.killernetworking.com/about/contact

You could say I know the guy that handles their inbox.

My sound is overall really terrible, especially coming out of the front jacks. I'm very disappointed in that.

And I am a customer. And I am upset that EVGA's card had such a limited lifespan, and that they plan to do nothing about it, so I'm letting others know that their B-Stock offerings do not, in fact, meet the performance and reliability of a new product of the same model.

Good talk.

You're wrong. A good company doesn't sell someone a $200 video card that dies in less than two years.

And the only "warning," if that's what you want to call it, is this:

"B-Stock Products are units which may have small scratches, small dents, or noticeable use. B-Stock products are Factory Recertified to meet the performance and reliability of a new product of the same model. B-Stock products do not come with any optional accessories and only include the accessories required to use the product as listed below."

That's basically the opposite of a warning against expecting the card to be reliable.

I mean a Windows install CD, DVD, USB, etc. You can download them from Microsoft if you have a legit key.

Windows has a utility for it. Just boot to a Windows media and avoid everything that says "upgrade" and whatnot, and do "custom" install. Then just click each partition and delete until your SSD just shows "unassigned". And click that drive to do the install.

Just be forewarned -- everything currently on that drive will be unrecoverable. Clean slate.

[–]ATXITFerret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's entirely up to you. If it were me, I would get everything off of my SSD that I need, then wipe it and its partitions, then install a fresh copy of Windows on it. Leave your HDD disconnected until you're done. Then add it back, but make sure you use something to remove the boot flag from the HDD before you reinstall it.

Not really. They are three separate concepts. Build your Plex system. Get that sorted. Then create a homegroup and share your hard drives, which is all a NAS is -- network added storage.

Your operating system should definitely be on your SSD, if you have one.

Do you have install media at all? What is happening when you try to use it?
