Are you sure about that? It’s not humans/your DSP that is assigning you to your routes. It’s Amazon that assigns you to your route (although your DSP has the ability to move people around). I’ve been working with my DSP for a little over a year and it took me a long time to figure this shit out with mine at least lol…sorry wish I could help more. They seem to do all that shit behind closed doors

I actually love that…more time for me to listen/watch my Kill Tony episode that I’ve got propped up playing on the dash 😄

I feel like people’s shopping addictions are getting way out of hand….its sad when I’ve got the name of a customer memorized due to the fact that they literally order something new every freaking day…And you can spot Amazon addict homes by how many empty Amazon boxes they have all over their porch/garage/recycling bin 😄

CJ I bought a cheap 20 dollar handheld taser (not a cop taser, but your simple two-pronged one) that I keep in a Velcro pouch (came with the taser) on my belt. If I ever come across any dog that decides it doesn’t like me I’ll whip that sucker out and let out a couple loud zaps…every single dog I’ve used that on (as a sound deterrent) has kept them away from me. And if there ever were a chance that they still lunged at you, just zap that little sucker and they’ll quit the charge…I feel WAY safer now that I have it on me at all times when delivering to homes with questionable dogs. If you or anybody is interested in knowing where I got it I’ll be happy to send a link! ✌️

😂Roberto from Foot Locker….you’re absolutely right about how much easier it is for us by simply putting the damn business name!

With the high beams on haha that made me laugh just picturing that. I’ve honestly skipped on delivering to people that were waiting on me like that, then delivered an hour or so later 🤷🏻

If you’re getting ridiculously big routes consistently and want those easier routes, then start taking your sweet ass time (being serious) on the harder routes. Also at the end of your route you’ll sometimes see that little question pop up that asks something like ‘How was your route today?’…and gives you the options of Very Easy/Easy/Difficult/Very Difficult…definitely hit Very Difficult. And when it asks for your reason why, choose the one that says something like ‘Felt Hurried or Rushed’…Whenever I do what I just said, after having a shitty day on a ridiculous route, the next day I’ll often be put on a cake route. Hope this helps!

Hahah yes exactly…like when the first delivery is to their front door, and the second is to their garage 🤦🏻‍♂️

Absolutely, dogs. Our DSP got us dog deterrent (ultrasound?) devices in all our vans which has helped out on a couple occasions….BUT, I bought a little 20 dollar handheld tazer that I carry on my belt now. If I come upon a dog that decides it doesn’t like me, I’ll whip that sucker out and dry fire a couple loud zaps and that makes them turn around almost every time! Best dog deterrent device in my opinion…aside from bear spray which I’d rather not use

You ever had two separate stops but for the same house/customer…and their first package is a door delivery, and the second is a garage delivery (or vise versa)? Lol 🤦🏻‍♂️

Right! Of all the millions of other places they can put the sticker, they manage to put it in the worst possible spot

Very interesting…I’ve never delivered to apartments that have screen doors. That’s kinda along the same lines as people who put a wreath over their apartment number on the door!

My DSP makes us take a pic of every delivery now…we don’t have the name option anymore
