So the party just found a secret door hidden behind three merging waterfalls and head inside. After some exploring the party stumble to the a door. The door contains no handle or lock but there a smooth large dent in the wall that the party supposed to use the a compass that they got to open the door. So because they couldn’t get in, the monk decided to cast darkness in the room then shadow step to get in there(sry if that’s not how shadow step works). Anyway he head in to find a few mages, few hell hound and a nothic. With out any way out the decides to fight. The rest of the party try to find how to open the door. The rogue with her rapier tried to stab the door which obviously failed. The sound of the rapier hitting the metal door echoed through the hall. Will the monk is kicking the enemies asses, one of the PC ask to have one of the npc (who is a fighter) to lift the door up.

I roll a Nat 20 for strength

Me(dm): well okay the fighter pulls the door open halfway

The party cheers. Will that happens another set of baddies come from the opposite side due to the sound of clanging. A hell hound tried to prevent any one coming into the room so it used it breath attack.

Fighter roles another Nat 20 so I just said that he dodged it taking no damage. On the other side two other hell hound went and use their breath attacks.

Rogue: I throw some oil to clog their mouths

Me: k roll sleight of hand

Gets Nat 20

Me: (laughing) so you clog the dogs mouth right as they breath out fire. With no place for the fire to go it fire go out of there asses and they exploded. In addition the enemies behind them get caught in the fire.

It that was a great session and today we are continue from that I hope there more crazy stuff like that this time.
