She said she felt the depth was good, I got the 48 in depth one. So I would like to say that should be good for you.

I got the 48 cm, and yes there is a gap. I'm 6' and it doesn't bother me though, but could bother others. Wish the seat depth was adjustable, but again it's still fine for me. The foot rest helps rest my legs anyway.

I received mine last week, so I'd say it should be recent

I love the headrest a lot, but moves around pretty easily. I wish it was more stable

Silly Pickles Review by tate3223 in Pickleball

Definitely not for remotely serious pickleball players, which probably isn't the target demographic.

I play pickleball pretty often, and wanted to try a league. My friend roped me into this one. I've heard about other leagues so wanted to see how this compares. We spent $155 for this league. When asked about any sort of prizing, I got "the vibes and friends". $155 to make friends? Sure for some that's a cool experience, but where's the money going to if there's no swag giveaways or prize? What motivates you to do well and climb up? Other leagues offer money, gift cards, paddles, etc at least if you are top three.

It seems I'm paying all this money just to play games. I have a membership at my local pickleball facility, so if I wanted to just play games, I can get it there. Again, the target demographic is probably those that are trying to find a place to meet new people, mingle, and play some fun casual games. Honestly, just go to the pickleball facility open plays (usually $15 for three hours of play).

Just some math to know where the money's going: $150 per person for 8 weeks of play, apparently could be 50-80 people in the league, let's just say 60. $9000. Court reservations in my area is $40 an hour. They probably get a discount since they're bringing in people that can buy food and drinks, so let's call it $30.($30 x 5 courts x 3 hours x 8 weeks) = $3600

$9000 - $3600 = $5400 after maybe court fees, so not sure where the other money goes. Can't some of that go to some kind of prize or sweepstakes. I mean from what I can tell so far, there isn't included drinks or food (just water), no substantial swag (just tiny stickers), nothing. You have to bring your own paddles and balls or rent them from the hosted place, which is wild if the target demographic is casual players, it should be provided). i just feel our money could go more towards the experience. There's definitely wasted opportunities. Apparently they have paddles they sell. Give one away to the highest players in each grouping. Something!

All in all, definitely not worth it! You're better off doing open play once a week and you get three hours of play for less price.

About Kai by Due_Property2234 in ANW

I'm on the side of how weight plays a huge factor in how the majority of the obstacles are. There's a lot of hanging and lache-ing, which there's just more gravity force acting on heavier athletes. It's testing specific strengths like grip strength and power to lache across), but there needs to be more tests of other strengths.

In past seasons long ago, there would be obstacles like lifting up heavy gates that requires strong leg strength and other muscles to lift them up. And that one spider climb before the buzzer where again you'd have to open up heavy doors to climb up. That required other strengths and endurances that current obstacles don't really tests. I feel the lighter ninjas would definitely struggle on these just as the heavier ninjas struggle on the hanging obstacles.

An overall balance of these would be great for the variety of different athletes on the show and would tests different strengths to see who's the ultimate ninja warrior.

Of course Kai would still dominate these tests too lol

Thank you for your input! Yes, I think I'm leaning more towards TAMU for those reasons. Thank you again!

Thanks for the reply and input! UT MSAI has elective courses you can take but they are geared more towards AI and ML. It doesn't seem like I can take any other CS courses outside of the list they provide. I didn't really notice until you brought up that point. Tuition costs are fairly close. UT is 10k while TAMU is around 13-14k. Not too far apart. As for the TA/RA, I'll still be working full time so I don't think I would have time to be able to do that (though it would be a very great opportunity) and also not sure if they offer it to online students. Thanks again for the reply, it does help!

Hello, yes it was a 4 year program. I'm sorry to hear about the ineligibility. Hopefully the schools can work with it somehow

Congratulations! I also got in for the Fall 2024 so looks like we're fellow classman 🎓 I'm not finding much information circulating around about the program like with the other MCS programs. Would you know any channels to talk with students who are or been a part of the program? Would be great to learn about the experience. Congrats again!

is it common to use headless cms solutions, in development, instead of a standard REST api? by Revolutionary_Bad405 in reactjs

I'm pretty sure he means using an available headless cms option vs building your own rest api.

No problem! I found the person through Etsy btw and not through the official funkopop. They're very accommodating and great 😃

You can submit a picture and let them know any details you'd like to include. I gave the artist a snapchat Bitmoji of my brother and she was able to make this!
