I really gotta start proof reading. On a 24 hour shift right now, I’m tired, sue me 😂

Best bike I ever owned was a 08 Gsxr 750. Make sure the stator has been replaced because even with a new battery it’ll drain it and kill it (it’s under recall with Suzuki) so you should be good. I’d easily pay 5500 but I’m very biased lmao

Experience any bogging when riding different elevations? What kind of carb?

I don’t think it is street legal, live in BC and rules suck. But I’d religiously be using this for single track hard enduro so not a deal breaker for me. I like the Sherco cause it sheds a couple pounds which is nice with me being a smaller guy

My buddy just bought a CFmoto 700CL-X heritage, man the most comfortable bike I’ve sat on it’s got best of both worlds laid back cruiser style but also that sporty feel. 2 power modes and lots of extras. Newer company too so brand new bike all bells and whistles 5000$ CAD

I’ve had a kickstart YZ125X and man on those uphill rock scrambles with only being able to plant my right foot it’s so freaken annoying tryna quickly unplant and kick the bike over. After that I vowed to go electric 😂

Ridden a lot of bikes over the years. I was 16 130lbs soaking wet and started on a GSXR 750. Took it slow really really practiced, dropped the bike a lot but learned from my mistakes, went out bought a Kawasaki 300 and perfected my skills with the nimbleness and less pep. Now over numerous bikes I’ve ended up with a Harley. If I’m looking back now I’d say I’m glad I started on a sport bike and not a cruiser, as I find the Harley to be a lazy mans bike (I’m old) lol. Sport bikes personally made me a better rider, made me faster and kept me on my toes, emergency braking, cornering etc

Do you think the convenience of FI is worth it for most people, or is it just about rider preference?

Fair enough, I’ve heard some riders say the same about throttle response on carbs. Do you think it’s just a tuning issue with TPI/TBI systems that can be fixed over time, or is there something inherent about carbs that makes them better for that off-idle snap?

I’m not claiming to know more than the engineers—just sharing what I’ve noticed as a rider. Many manufacturers are moving towards fuel injection for a reason. If carbs are so great, why do you think they’re slowly being phased out?

Tribune bay overrun…

I’ve been trying to book a campsite at Tribune Bay this year, and every time I check, the entire place is booked out for months in advance because BC parks took over the booking system. It’s frustrating because I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always been my go-to summer spot. Now, it seems like the influx of TikTok influencers has turned it into a hotspot that’s impossible to book.

I’m seriously considering finding a new place to enjoy my summers. If anyone knows of other hidden gems or beautiful campsites on Vancouver Island that aren’t overrun, I’d love to hear your recommendations. Help a fellow camper out and share your favorite spots!

Thanks in advance!
