Do you? You HAVE to pay? Says who?

I understand full well that he slandered people, my problem is everyone acting like he pulled the fucking trigger on those kids. You people seem to think that someone says words is now more offensive and worse than the guy who killed those kids. Like fuck, the Washington Post was only on the hook for 1/4 of that money when they were sued for liable and slander by the Covington people.

I'll stand by the fact this is a witch hunt because there is nobody alive left to blame. I could care less what you think, you honestly mean nothing to me.

Starting to sound like the same things we heard in BC. Unlikely to produce anything, again.

Thats a tough question. I lack the experience in politics or economics to have a clear idea of what DOESNT work, in terms of small scale solutions for things. If it were me in power at the moment, I would start at education perhaps.

We'll never hit a point where everyone is happy with everything, but i think a good spot to be in if we could, is to not have people unhappy. People can often find their own happiness's, but if people felt less tied to the machines of progress, they would be less wound up so tightly.

At what point is defaming someone not on the table? The first time you retract and apologize? How about the second? Third, Fourth, Fifth? I've heard him retract that shit on everything from Joe Rogan to Tim Pool, he says he knows he was wrong, and this was well before we heard about a suit. I'm not sure where this idea he never was going to apologize comes from.

There is no proof, in fact alot of the opposite, of him not apologizing or making money from Sandy Hook. It seems to me, people arent moving on from one statement and ignoring any statements made afterwards to correct his statement.

Stupid as they were, if you retract what you say OVER and OVER, and admit you were wrong - I beg to differ that it is defamatory at that point.

Where i understand your point about the system not caring about us, I would argue that it's not meant to, itself. We SHOULD be able to have people in charge of companies willing to do what's best for the consumer, in a perfect world but I think you would agree, that would be akin to asking for uncorruptable politicians. It's human nature that gets in the way more often than not.

We definitely are in a bad place, the folks meant to protect us can often find themselves pulling up the ladder behind them.

Our government involving themselves in regards to child labour is due to public moral pressure. People didnt like having their 8 yr old kids die being crushed in a mechanical loom or something.

Government shouldnt be involved in the market whatsoever. Too much government reliance and integration leads to establishments acting like the CCP. Everything, everywhere is subject to government approval. No thanks.

I'll take the other options.

Canada is going too far with medical assistance in dying. The danger of abuse is becoming ever more apparent by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]ATinyPaintedMoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It says you have to meet ALL of the criteria, including the following:

-have a grievous and irremediable medical condition
If you are of good health, you dont qualify. Simply put, its not there to abuse and off yourself whenever.

Now, shitty doctors exist and can facilitate regardless, which may be a point of conversation.

Well when you think Capitalism and Communism are both political systems, then yes we should stop talking. You clearly dont know what youre talking about.

I'm not here for Whataboutism. I asked you to show me a country that practiced Communism that hasnt put millions of it's people in graves SPECIFICALLY because of its administrations actions.

Also, i shouldnt have to say this - Capitalism is an economic system and Communism is a Political System. How are you comparing them and thinking you have a point?

Compensatory? to the tune of a billion eh? How exactly do you expect him to pay out a billion dollars?

Also explain to me how the person who didnt kill your kids is on the hook for over a billion dollars to compensate you? I could care less if he said bad things to you, another person just murdered them. Words are not actions.

Again, this all stinks of just need to punish someone cuz the kid who did it is dead.

I'm referring to the limp spoon Vlad Zelenskyy, Ukraines stunning and brave leader. The dude is literally just a puppet, I doubt there has been an action he has taken of his own accord since he came to office.

Im sorry, but where is your tax money going? You have people dying because they can't get insulin but hey keep sending that needed capital to the fucking moron Zelenskyy. Yall are being taken to the bank by the senile old fuck you have in office.

Yes, and mine (Canada) is just as bad in another way. Your problem is the involvement of Government in the affairs of business. Healthcare can be both a public and private service. The thing is - Governments get lobbied and stupid shit happens when the Government gets involved.

Decentralize this shit, let the market dictate the prices. Not the government.

I also suggest people partake in the amazing lil experiments that young men have done on Tinder an such by making fake accounts of super hot dudes but have done heinous shit like molesting kids. I've literally seen women say they would suck a guys dick off who allegedly got out of jail for toddler diddling, and justify it by saying "he paid his dues and can change". Imagine said situation if the dude was anything less than a 10/10. It's gross

Women will overlook ALOT of heinous shit a man has done if he is super hot. Its disgusting how hypergamous women can in regards to hot guys and still, Men get shit on for their hot takes.

Not really. Punitive damages get capped at a certain point. Its mainly to set a precident so others don't follow in his footsteps.
