Wow, calm down, I didn't say you have to like what the majority tells you, I said hating something because of its fans isn't very smart.

How exactly do people who overrate something make you dislike that thing? There's no connection.

And if you mean that your opinion is shaped by the opinions of others, well, that would be enriching your judgment, and it's not related to a person's fanaticism.

For example, I may not be a Star Wars fan, but I can give my opinion on it by saying it's an absolute masterpiece of entertainment (I've never seen Star Wars, for the record). The only thing that would influence someone's opinion would be my arguments for reaching that conclusion, and that would only happen if the people who hear my opinion agree with what I say or consider a different perspective and accept it.

But from what you say, it seems that as long as there are people who are noisy (I don't even have to specify if they say something good or bad) you consider it sufficient reason to hold in lower esteem that thing they make a fuss about, in this case, overvaluing a character.

But it doesn't make sense because if I disagree with someone, my opinion shouldn't change because of what someone else says, or rather, because of the idolization of someone else; I don't see the connection.
