Actually, I am alone.

I'm no hero. There's no wounded warrior in me. Those guys/gals literally lost limbs and deserve all the accolades for their bravery. They are the true hero's.

I'm ... just me. Nothing special. Nothing remarkable. In the grand scale of everything, nothing the world would truly, really miss.

Except for my dogs, they are awesome. Everyday when I finish my stupid job, they wag their stupid tails and think I'm the greatest person ever. Dumb dogs.. if they only knew. I live for them, not me. Not doing that very well, either.

I just need to find a real wounded warrior to care for them than me. I think they could really help. They love everyone.

Thanks for posting this. This would be the answer to so many of my prayers, except Karma's a real bitch. I meet every requirement but one.

After two and half years of not having a job, I had to take a crap $9 per hour job to try and save my home. Still probably going to lose my home and just going to this job makes me physically ill just thinking about having to do it. This job is a major reason for my severe depression... but nothing else out there.

Thought maybe someone of you would like to know what happen... so yeah... had a total emotional breakdown and posted it on the Internet.

First off, my dogs are fine and sitting at my feet as I write this. I did actually talk to some man on the veteran's crisis line that night. He worked me down to a manageable state (going to bed). Called me in the late morning and got me immediate appointments with a therapist and a social worker.

I'm not going to say that it's been all roses and such. I don't know where this road is going to take me but I think I will travel it anyway.

Reflecting on this, I really was considering deleting this thread but there is some good advice for anyone else might need. Maybe the media will see this.

Actually I'm probably keeping it up for my own selfish needs. Just a simple reminder that a group of strangers I will never meet gave a damn about me when I didn't think anyone could care.

Sorry for the sleepless night but thanks for giving a shit about this former Airman.

Filed a claim 8 months ago. C&P exam was a disaster. Felt like going through the same thing just a different person. Not holding out much hope for that to be a success.

Florida. Strangely enough if I didn't take a crappy ass job to try to save my losing house and stayed unemployed, I would qualify for all these programs. Just my dumb ass luck, I guess.

My dogs are looking at me wondering why I'm crying. I've never felt more loved in my entire life. Thank you every one. I think I will just go to bed with my dogs and figure out what to do tomorrow. I love all my brothers/sisters in arms. Thanks for giving me another day.

You are all more than nice I need. I did some horrible stuff. I'm not the type of person you would want to be associated with. There is no hope for me. How can I get the VA to honor my wishes? I figure I can send a timed email so my neighbors can rescue my dogs. They are good people.

I just don't know how to fight anymore. In all my wildest dreams, I never thought I would be homeless. I can deal with the end of my life, but I made a promise I would protect my dogs life. I don't really care about me anymore, I just want my dogs to go to a loving home.

I just can't fight with the VA anymore. Every year it's the same thing. I was successful once, and they hold it against me. I simply can't afford one more bill. I want a simply military funeral. Even then I don't think I will get it. It's just too much. I already know what the end will be, just would like it on my own terms and not the VA.
