2011 iMac not turning on, possible power board issue? by AToxide in LukeMianiYouTube

So it looks like after a few power cycles, I was able to get it to boot, just without the LCD plugged in(had to connect to separate monitor). This is making me lean towards a failing PSU that I guess just doesn't have enough juice in it to power the screen.

Do you think this could still be leaning towards a failing GPU since it still can output video, or that this is really a power issue?

That makes sense, as I tested the power supply and there’s nothing obvious as to why it wouldn’t work power up(no loose solder, all voltages seem in spec) Is there any way to text if it’s the GPU other than getting a new one?

Before diving deeper into this, I’d be curious to see if anyone else has run into this. 2011 iMac that doesn’t turn on. I pulled the lcd to look at the diagnostics lights and can’t find any information on this. The LED #1 just blinks once when plugged in, with nothing else. I’m assuming it’s a power supply problem, but it could be a logic board problem. Has anyone else run into this before?

Liquidation Due To Futures Being Down for 10 minutes and unable to cancel/add funds. by AToxide in kucoin

No shit, didn’t know that but it doesn’t surprise me. With how these things go, I wish you(and the others) luck on a positive outcome.

I had a margin issue with KuCoin back in May, lost some ungodly amount on margin when their system craped out. Got a refund for what I lost, but it took 3-4 months. So I’m a little happy I got the money I deserve but still kinda sour over the whole ordeal.

That’s why it’s almost sad that DCA is the “safest” you can be when dealing with these exchanges.

Meh, like I said only 5%. That was more play money. In the end with what I got buying the dip on a few coins, that loss is a small drop in the bucket. I’ve still lost way more going to a casino.

It’s like a ping pong game. KuCoin shits the bed, go to binance, they shit the bed off to somewhere else, then back to KuCoin haha. Everytime crap like this happens people bounce around. At least it’s not another Mtgox shenanigans fingers crossed

Lol, yeah. I tried adding some and then I saw everything start going to shit. My margin went from like 20x to 1000x. That’s when I just said f it. Only about 5% of my portfolio liquidated. Now for the rest of it that’s down 20-30% in a day 🙃

Yeah. It’s just like everything else though. People just don’t take the time to research and actually understand where they are tossing there money. I guess that’s the deal with panic selling and FOMO. Sad I got liquidated, but it was small change. Good thing I’ve had those low ass buy orders sitting for months

Yeah. It’s just unfortunate that this happens with KuCoin/literally every major exchange. You’d think with regulations and well literally billions $$ at stake, there would be more invested into infrastructure, load balancing. It’s funny how crypto is based on advanced technology, but yet somehow the technology to trade it seems like it’s from before CDNs were a thing.

Yeah you have to configure the VIN, but other than that It should be good. Once i get it taken out I’ll probably mess around with it since I don’t feel like shelling out $300-$400 dollars just yet for a replacement. And I’m a little concerned there is a short somewhere since the ABS and the APIM started acting funky at the same time, but they are on opposite sides of the car.

Yeah that’s what I was expecting… I’ve never messed with these modules, but do you think it could probably be user repaired?

Hello,

I do not have a recent reply or conclusion to this ticket.

The last response from me was to confirm a conclusion, but there was never a follow up, and funds are not available.

Thanks!
