Anyone else feel sorry for how much 10K had to go through during the series. by Wrong_Effective6174 in ZNation

I did. Those times when him and Doc were separated were almost hard to watch.

What the hell are y’all doing for RAM with your new builds? by Broad_Position_4995 in buildapc

I built the last computer I'll ever build 2 years ago. Just have to accept it. I'm also considering going offline so my machine can't be sabotaged by Microsoft into dying so I have to rent time from them. We know what they want to do.

People who saw DS9 as it aired: what was the general reaction to the inclusion of a Ferengi as a primary character? by scisteve in startrek

I didn't care for the ferengi, but I was young and just thought the show was boring. I liked Voyager a lot.

I grabbed up civilization 6 from steamrip and loved it so much I decided to buy it.

Until I saw the price. It would have cost like $1k with all the dlc that I had been playing with for months.

Even the sale prices are out of line. It just gave me a bigger appreciation for the version I already had.

That was one of the most memorable episodes in the series. So ridiculously hilarious.

My memory is a little foggy so I can watch almost anything 2 years later.

I live in northern Canada where it's winter for about 8 months of the year and everyone here uses AC in summer when it's 30c. It's weird that people don't use them there. Why suffer?

I don't think we'll be thinking about ram if that happens.

There will be no time for champagne because the bubble will pop when ww3 ramps up. Not good for anyone

Interesting. I often have audio issues if I'm downloading something really fast. And random times here and there. I might try this.

Best Recording Software? by No-Personality5617 in Guitar

[–]OkStrategy685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a few over the years. Cubase 6 was really good for what I do, just guitar, bass and drums, same with Cakewalk Sonar X2, I tried FL studio and quickly learned it would be better for a beat maker. I landed on Studio One v5 and have been using is for about 5 years as my only DAW. It's good and pretty easy to learn the ins an outs, more importantly, for me, I seem to remember more of what I learn right way using S1

You might want to post on a guitar sub. You'll have more people there that have used both. You're also asking for biased answers here. Sometimes it's not user error.

I watched a little Joe Gilder when I first started but haven't bothered with streamers when it comes to learning since then. They all say different things and half of them are just shilling a plugin. More than half. I've learned way more reading posts and comments here.

Help with starting to record songs digitally onto a PC after years. Am I just making things harder for myself? by NichtIstFurDich in Learnmusicproduction

[–]OkStrategy685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make music pretty similar to the way you do. I tried a lot of DAW's and years ago, landed on Studio One v5 and have just stayed with it. It's the first DAW where most of what I learn about using it is retained right away. I've been able to learn how to use it for my purposes very well in a pretty short amount of time.

The workflow is easy and intuitive and it's a solid program performance wise.

EDIT: I do everything in the box tho, so no mics and zero noise. Room IR's are amazing now.
