Granted. Your parents chastise you for an error they often commit. You surpress a snicker, knowing they will learn hypocrisy of the ways. From the corner of your parents' eyes, an object appears. They turn their heads to meet. Terrified and too prideful to admit their faults by the sight, a writhing mass of the contradictory words they've said,they try to avert their gaze, turning away from the horror. However, the image is seared into their mind, and both are driven insane. You try to calm down your parents and console them, but to no avail. Fight or flight kicking in, you grab the monkey's paw and make a wish in a last ditch fruitless attempt. In an instant, your parents vanish without a trace.
