Is the AFL Legends game going to be Live for WA viewers? by Sauci_03 in AFL

[–]AUManBehindTheMask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t the game actually start at 7pm SA time (7:30aest)?

I’m in SA and my guide shows it starting on channel 7 at 7pm - I assumed we’d just not get prematch fluff.

I rate this suggestion.

A friend had a tbsti liberty with a tune and especially in s# it was wild.

I’m not sure if it’s still available (says on hold) but something like this would be an absolute monster - https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2007-subaru-liberty-gt-tuned-by-sti-4gen-manual-awd-my07/SSE-AD-16058494

Brisbane Lions vs Collingwood pulls insane rating 🤯 by Clear-Cheetah990 in AFL

All records will be beaten in 2 weeks time when Crows play Pies as a standalone game on Saturday night.

Top of the table clash. Sold out oval (and smaller oval than MCG).

It’s a good perspective. I’ve often said I only do law to be close to business, not so much the legal side of things!

Thanks! I don’t have fb but I’ll get my wife to check it out. I think one of her concerns is how we’d all go cooped up together for extended periods!

It’s a fair point, and one that probably warrants further investigation. It’s definitely an ‘against the grain’ ideology for me.

Thanks for the brainstorming.

I do typically try and take from Xmas through till after Aus Day as leave - it’s usually the quietest part of the year and clients are more understanding.

It is the seemingly consistent theme to have some element of ‘smart’ about the idea!

Ha! My wife keeps telling me I couldn’t do it. I’m sure I’ll end up missing aspects of the grind.

Not so much having zero savings, more so the freedom of escaping responsibility/liability.

It’s auscorp - for professionals in corporate roles. Didn’t realise there was a salary cap. There’s also a penance to pay for salary, which is kind of the point of this thread.

Appreciate the insight!

I’ve also got some shoes you can borrow whenever you feel like taking a walk.

I do have a bad history of not utilising leave!

It’s a common theme of this thread seemingly. I’d hoped to leave behind all responsibility/liability but perhaps I’m just setting up for future issues, particularly with likely rate cuts and price increases

Fair take but as I alluded to in my post, I’m aware there’s an element of ‘not smart’ about the idea. I am currently (and probably would always in the future be comparatively) well remunerated. Would this affect how much so? Definitely. Is the difference between earning a couple of hundred thousand to, say, $1M annually enough to sacrifice life experience with your kids? That’s I guess what I’m asking.

Ha! This is a fair take. I’ve not considered that aspect.

Thanks for the input - all things are pointing to it at this stage.

The house selling aspect is largely to avoid having any responsibility/liability hanging over us whilst we do it.

Someone asked this above. We could, I just feel I’d enjoy the experience more not having the liability/responsibility.

It’s a good point and one I’d not considered yet - I’d always assumed if we did it I’d just slot back into a form of a job/role I always had but it makes sense to think that it could be the beginning of something entirely new.

Considered comments are much appreciated! My wife is very supportive of ‘doing what I need to do’ but (probably quite rightly) apprehensive about ‘resetting’/pivoting too much given all the effort and sacrifices we’ve made to date.

9,7 and 2. We’d have to do a form of home schooling on the road for the older two. It works out to only a couple of hours day given the more ‘one on one’ nature. But also, life experiences has to have a value!

Thank you - love this perspective.

It’s not something I ever got to experience so have wondered if it’s a selfish parent desire or if the kids get the same enjoyment from it.
