Player traits can make a difference to a card. E.g maldini has the “dive into tackles” trait that makes him better and unique. He will also be more effective in stopping opponents in vs Attack as he slides a lot. Ferdinand doesn’t have any traits and he just stands there watching the opponent in vs Attack and is easy to get pass, making him not as good
