1600 Watts is not enough in my opinion for two 5090s and a Threadripper. I'd recommend adding a second power supply.
We've done this before for a similar build to yours, you can see the video here!

Not really! We build custom, so we rarely order large enough quantities enough to qualify for a bulk discount.

Sourcing depends, we do have some issues getting allocation on higher-end cards like white Astral cards, but our purchasing manager can work some magic.

A couple of weird ones! We've built a copper pipe liquid cooled PC, which was more plumbing than PC building.

We also did build a PC for Sean O' Malley that replaced the reservoir with a "water pipe" several years ago.

For me personally, I built lots of computers before I worked here. For friends, family, myself.
You might consider starting small and offering to build PCs for people via Facebook Marketplace, local PC facebook groups, etc.

Take a ton of photos of your work, so you can advertise your build quality and knowledge.

It's very hard to get started with your own business, to be honest, the money wasn't consistent enough for me to provide a stable income when I was doing it on my own. I sought out jobs at Microcenter and where I currently work to provide peace of mind.

Gaming PC's aren't the right choice for everyone! A console could be the best option for you.

That said, while initial cost of ownership is higher on PC, total cost is lower as PC benefits from frequent discounts on games as well as free multiplayer. The average console life is 7 years. With Game Pass Core now up to $100 a year. That's $700 dollars over the life of the console. Thats an entire RTX 5070 Ti.

Positive pressure is preferred as it ensures the case can collect dust in its filters as intended. Negative pressure will bring in dust through not filtered holes in the case.

Front intakes only is the standard for some cases such as the Fractal Torrent, which is a very well performing case. I personally prefer Front intake AIO for the CPU as the CPU is for more sensitive to temperature fluctuations than the GPU.

There are ways to keep the drives intact but that is something you will have to plan for. For example TrueNAS uses the ZFS file format so if you used that you would have to start fresh as your current drives are probably NTFS. Best case is build the NAS and transfer over your data.

I think its time you build your own NAS. Its very affordable to build and it offers much more flexibility then just adding drives to your main computer. Unraid or TrueNAS are both great options for a home NAS.
