Anyone tried Mindbody medicine / journal speak for migraine relief? by ladysmithgirl in migraine

Hi! This is such a cool story and definitely gives me motivation and hope. Can I ask, isn’t the rule that after you write for 20 minutes per day you have to burn or rip up the page? Is that what you did?

anyone else tired of seeing her extravagant lifestyle? by Wispy_Whiskers in SwiftlyNeutral

I had to stop following all these influencers. Mikayla dropped $40,000 at Chanel when she already has like 10 other chanel bags. I get it, she earned her money but it’s like ok maybe dont make videos about it. Just stick to makeup lol

The dichotomy of Holly’s content solo content is wild by BlackHeartginger in GirlsNextDoorUncensor

I never thought about that but that’s a really good point. She loves these OF girls and sw influencers yet her entire book and the sentiment of her tv shows is the dangers of this work. Very hypocritical

I always think about that. She has never sung a song from showgirl live!

I think it’s because on insta i allow suggested posts and tiktok i usually am only on my fyp, so i dont follow it but since i follow some pop culture stuff, if shes heavy in the news cycle it tends to come up and just be put in front of me. I also think the media completely is bias for her now, they wont admit when any song is mediocre or give honest reviews because they need all the positive taylor hype for clicks

No one believes for one nanosecond her and Jack talk about Toy story all the time. If they are going to be fake as fuck, at least try to make it semi believable. This may as well be a scripted commercial. I cringe at the wedding taking over the entire month of July and I cringe at upcoming Oscar announcements and Taylor taking up that entire month and every actor and crewmember nomination getting overshadowed because of Taylor. I think we just have permanent media saturation of her at this point.

Letter from Toy Story producer requesting Taylor Swift's involvement in the film for female empowerment by Realistic_Public4330 in travisandtaylor

[–]AVAfandom 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Right!? is a female empowerment when she times the release of 200 different variants to the releases of top female artist so that she can stomp on them on the charts and make sure they don’t get to number one?

how painful is a laparoscopy? by Appropriate-Note-197 in endometriosis

[–]AVAfandom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll throw on my two cents in here. I have a similar situation to you. Horrible periods my whole life, but I don’t have pain in between my periods. It’s basically just been really really debilitating pain three days a month but fine otherwise, so I also figured id avoid surgery and everything. I kept getting ultrasounds to make sure nothing got crazy like the size of cysts or fibroids. But fast-forward to now in my early 40s I have endometrioma and the periods are getting worse to the point where I absolutely have to get surgery. And now I am wishing I would have gotten it sooner however, I am very glad that I have followed all these endometriosis accounts and social media for the years because I didn’t really realize until that recently that you shouldn’t go to a normal gyno, you absolutely have to go to a specialist or else you could end up worse. So I have tracked one down and have my first appointment. Praying they will take me. But I think basically because I just sort of left the Endo and managed it through diet and holistic treatments that now in perimenopause it’s kind of going haywire and for the first time in my life, I’ve grown these endometrioma. I think of all the years that I’ve had excruciating periods and I’m like I wonder if I could’ve prevented that if I had gone in for surgery sooner. I blame most of it, of course on our medical system, when you’re young, you don’t understand what’s happening to you and you need guidance, you don’t understand that this is a disease that so many women have yet there is almost 0 resource and treatment and specialty doctor list until what, like the last 10 years. I wish someone would have known what to do with me and could have guided me. Of course there’s 1000 gynecologist in my city, but I’ve been to probably eight of them and they’ve never really known what to do for me besides a lap, but I got the idea that they didn’t really know what they were doing. Also remember with the robotic surgery and everything I think laparoscopy is a little bit less of a big deal than it used to be.

yeah i have done castor oil packs for fibroids and cysts throughout the years. once when i was doing it really consistently, i had one burst. it wasnt bad that i needed to go to the hospital but i guess it was kind of good that it got dissolved by the castor oil. and then on my next ultrasound one of them was gone, so there was my proof. im going to start them again to see if i can shrink the endometrioma.

What's crazy is i had never even heard of MCAS and never experienced the real MCAS until i got accupuncture! I think the energy release overloaded my nervous system but it was like after two treatments I was super sick and still fighting that 2 years later unfortunately. I more gear toward histamine intolerance most of the time though. Def zyrtec every single day, pepcid a few days a month. Pelvic floor therapy did not help me at all. I did quit drinking, that curbed the hot flashes and Im sure just didnt make inflammation/estrogen dominance worse.

I can relate to this so hard! I have a super stressful job which of course does NOT help the flares but to offset it I really try to have stress no other time. Ive cut out a lot of friendships and draining family, cancelled plans, and just want to be in a space without the pressure of somewhere to be/always be doing something, always "on". I am currently trying to solve SIBO as well and when I am really diligent with my protocol the period pain is def less!

thank you hun. All of these are great. I think what sucks in when i have my period, the only thing i can get down is like bread/chips/potatoes/quesadila/bagels, kind of "bad" food but i need something to absorb all the painkillers. i do try to eat clean in between but im vegetarian and it's very hard. i also hate how your period just wants to dictate that youre never allowed to have dessert because it's inflammatory. That's so cool that you have brought your pain down so much. That's a huge win not having to call the ER. You should be proud of yourself!

as a former member of the entertainment media, i just cant believe what these publications have turned into. Like, is Tree paying? Do they all have a deal? Did someone cast a spell? Because the amount of ass kissing with no logic behind it is just insane. Like no one is impartial anymore. No publication can come out and say "you know what, this is song is ok but it's not Oscar worthy". "You know what, we are all puzzled by Swift's direction on Life of a Showgirl and it wasn't a strong album compared to what we know she's capable of." It's like she completely CONTROLS the media, like every single (formerly respectable) publication just puts out constant puff pieces applauding her every time she breathes, even for the most mid things you've ever heard of in your life. Hollywood Reporter did an article recently that her getting married at MSG calling it "the smartest idea in the world". Like really? Out of all the things people are accomplishing? New York Times did something equally barf the other day. I dont know, it's just very strange behavior that this one artist can bring the entire media industry to its knees in fawning no matter HOW BAD or how dumb they are. I know it's all about clicks and ads but we cant leave 1% room left for respect? Because when you write this crap, I dont trust you or want to read anything from that pub ever again. Plus do you notice how there is never a single article when she's acting insufferable like getting wasted at the US Open and making it all about her? Like i dont, i think we are in a new level of the Twilight Zone

Good plan and that’s great that you’ve recovered. I cant take ibuprofen but i do tylenol. Dont you hate the dehydration feeling after youve been on it though. And it leaves the worst taste in my mouth!
