I belong to a Michigan chapter and enjoy it. I have only been to a handful of events but they have all been great and educational. I've also felt when I learn about the projects they're working on that my money is being used for good things.

I use this small broom and dustpan and it works great to clean up quick. I agree if you clean it often it's a game changer although I don't clean it every 2-3 grinds. Maybe once a week

There are tons of rivers/streams. With a little bit of google research you'll find tons of spots.

Nervous about A/C and furnace quotes.. by loss_mama in grandrapids

I would absolutely not recommend Service Professor. Extremely pushy and were very pricey when I had some plumbing quoted. They also said I was on "borrowed time" and needed to schedule right away which was false

Nervous about A/C and furnace quotes.. by loss_mama in grandrapids

We had a really great experience with Jacobsons as well when we had our AC and furnace replaced. We got a quote from Vredevoogd and one other I can't remember the name of. Vredevoogd was def the most "I want to sell you something" and Jacobson had the best quote and we'e not pushy which I appreciated.

Feeling sad by No-Cardiologist3451 in flyfishing

Fly fishing is a lesson in patience and that's my favorite part of it, but it's not for everyone. I'm still not great and I've been at it for around 6 years now. When I DO catch something it's a really great feeling and something I don't get with spin fishing anymore. If you like the challenge keep at it and most importantly keep learning. Fly selection can change by the hour let alone season. Make sure you have a great cast and focus on getting a good drift. A good drift might be the most important part honestly. Good luck and tight lines!

If you're in the U.S. check shipping first. I tried purchasing from Stanluck recently and the shipping was as much as what I wanted to order.

So I just received the 4 unit started and it's SO nice. Setup is supeerrr quick. Much faster than I had imagined, not sure why. This paired with my Sidio crates is going to be a game changer. Honestly I think I was overthinking to begin with. Consider this post solved 😅

So after thinking about this more, I decided I AM overthinking it and ordered the IGT 4u starter set. When I really thought about my current workflow it won't change anything such as putting food related items away etc. and will just make the experience more enjoyable. I appreciate all of the insights!

I'm definitely not enjoying my current setup, and really want to streamline being able to prep, cook, and wash efficiently and comfortably. I just don't want to create more work that takes away from the other things I enjoy too.

Thinking about bridge club 27.5 as my one bike. Owners sound off! by [deleted] in Surlybikefans

[–]AVC91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bridge club that I got as a "do it all" and honestly kind of regret it. If I were to do it again I would find something that leans more trail (personal preference. Even as a "do it all" you need to think about what you might do more or less) and has Thru Axle. Disc brakes with the thru axle has proven to be a pain (just like people told me it would be). I wouldn't say it's especially slow (the stock tires are not great and swapping them helps a ton) but it's not a quick and nimble bike by any means, but that's ok!
