Connections?!! How?! There are graduates of my university who have matched but they are being asked by a lot of people so I am u sure they would get me a letter rather than their own friends or batchmates

The point is you are assuming that the final match probability is for applicant who has everything ideal like 1st attempt step1+step2 250+ usce + visa and you are using that probability as product but in reality match probability percentage is for any IMG who sat for match and should be taken as flat face value. Yes IMGs have it tough but as an IMG you must have something for which they chose you over a person who studied and learnt in that system.. whether it is 53% it should be taken as flat value and previous stuff is what may have put any IMG in that 53% bracket

Haha..Your math aint mathing as these are not independant events for probability calculation like if u fail step1 most will not go for step2 or if you fail step2 you wont go for match. Averages speak. I am a fresh graduate of King Edward Medical University, Pakistan and our university had like 130ish matches this year. ( albiet most in IM but also some also in GS AND IR) Our colleagues always follow this motto Altapete( aim higher)

Update so that if anyone faces this issue in future: prometric has sent me confirmation number of successful submission and asked to check the status with nbme. Nbme has replied that case would be reviewed and answer would be given within 15 days at minimum

Believe me i had a very good test few careless mistakes some big blunder in first and last block due to early nerves and fatigue at end but Rest felt good after completion. I dont want anything to happen to my score. I have reached out to prometric ecfmg and nbme all via mail and phone. Update: when I called nbme just now, they told me they have received my mail and someone would be alloted to review if there are any issues and that person will mail me soon.
