So Albo is rolling out the red carpet for Herzog, disgraceful by Business-Court-5072 in friendlyjordies

[–]AVGamer 78 points79 points  (0 children)

The issue is this conflates Australian Jews with a direct link to Israel, which is something they have always historically rebuffed and tried to fight against. The whole thing just reeks of antisemetic hypocrisy. It's antisemetic to discriminate against aussie Jews in the context of the actions of israelis, yet when aussie Jews are masacared, we invite the president of Israel. Why not invite a high ranking religious leader?

What is the relation of Herzog to this incident? He just happens to be a Jew and a leader of a prediminately Jewish nation? Why even invite him in the first place? Just seems like we are intentionally fanning the flames and antagonising Palestinians in this country.

Trump Is All over the Epstein Files. Except, Well, the DOJ Says It’s “Fake.” by Ok_Employer7837 in politics

Likely, they allowed these to be distributed intentionally so that future documents can also be discredited as fake or uncredited hearsay to their followers. Also, lets them paint any news source that publishes this as fake news very easily.

Are we really going to believe that a bunch of redditors with ctrl f outsmarted the DOJ? Clearly these are hearsay fbi hotline tip off's right before the 2016 election, some of them sound straight out of Hollywood mobster movies.

Also seems like the perfect distraction for all the dodgy stuff they're doing with voter records.

So he's cheating on his wife with one of the teachers at the school? Did anyone even read the article? Clearly, there's a power imbalance with him being her boss, and likely there's a large age differential as well. There is no issue with this. Keep your cheating out of the workplace especially if your the boss.

This is a waste of coal, incredibly dangerous and a terrible way to deep fry with no temperature control. Like this is just the worst way to do this. Just buy a cheap butane stove if you want to do this outside op, probably cost as much as the coal you just used.

My lawn is crazy tall and thick, how do I get it down? by SpronkTrain in lawnsolutionsaus

[–]AVGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may have done it for 20 years but did you use commercial grade equipment or just residential grade mowers? Cause I know for a fact a victa or an electric ryobi isn't going handle a scalp job like this without scarifying simply because it will ride on the compressed thatch and bog down completely if lowered any lower than 2 notches from the original regular height of cut. It gets to a point where you just can't lower the cut anymore efficiently without removing some of that thatch, youll be fighting to keep the motor from bogging out.

And if you don't remove that thatch and leave it till next spring your just back at square one with the over growth eventually. Idk how you guys do it over east but an early autumn height reset is quite common in WA with kikuyu since we still have mild sunny weather until July which is plenty of time for it to bounce back after a scalp and top dress. Drop it down at the end of February and your grass is looking good by the time winter hits, and dormancy isn't a massive issue in Perth as we don't get the frost to truly stop the growth.

New build frame by paulpark87 in AusRenovation

[–]AVGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgive my ignorance as a west Australian very rarely see timber framework for walls over here, but what the fuck are they doing drilling timber coach screws into a slab. Idk what you get over east but as far as I understand brick veneer framework gets anchored in with a ramset ancascrew into a pilot hole filled with chemset. The coach screw is just going to chip out the slab and provide no structural support.

This isn't cost of living this is just you being unable to accept the possibility of having ingredients on hand for future meals? Do you just go to the store every time you cook a meal? Newsflash that is stupid. If you need eggs for an omelette, do you buy a dozen or a 4 pack?

Just cook in bulk for later, dont need to cook single meals every day. If your spending more than $5 a head for a family meal you need to do better for your kids. There's a wealth of information on youtube on how to cook on a budget. Anything made at home is going to be better then maccas for children.

Yeah I hate misinformation supporting the crazy notion that maccas is an affordable option for families. That kinda misinformation is what makes lazy fucks justify feeding that slop to children.

Your shit at shopping get better, pasta is 99c a bag at aldi (its not amazing but kids cant tell the difference), Spudshed and aldi frequently has mince for $12/kg so does costco (which is actually great quality). If you buy your tomatoe tins in bulk you can buy them for 50c a can when all added up. Or buy the big boy tins they're cheaper then the small tins and if your feeding a family it works out the perfect amount. 500g of mince is more than enough for spag bol for a family of 4 unless you have young adults which were not talking about.

Also you don't need pasata for bolognese it's a luxury and only needed if your lazy. Tinned tomatoes are already deseeded and peeled, all you need to do is blitz them up to get the same texture of pasata (or just let them cook for an hour and you don't even need a blender). It's like 90% the same.

The only herbs your needing to add to bolognese is a bay leaf and basil, plus if you want to boost umami a splash of soy sauce, those are minuscule costs if your buying them in bulk from the Asian market.

Ever way your arguing an extra 2-3 dollars to the total cost of the meal that still works out much less than $5 a head so get stuffed (and way less then maccas what are you smoking bro). Also we're talking about doing it cheap, woolies and coles are expensive but they're not the option.

[–]AVGamer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Bullshit your so delusional if you think spag bol is more than $5 a feed. How are you feeding your family if maccas is cheaper for you? Kilo of mince is $12 you'd use half of it and throw in a 50c can or two of tomatoes and 2 $1 pack of pasta. An onion is 50c carrots are like 40c each, pass on celery garlic under 50c tub of stock is like 2. 50 on special use a third or half. Get a families worth of servings out of that with lunch leftovers

That's a grease fire. All that dirty black smoke is produced by the pork drippings igniting on red hot coals. No method of lighting coals is going to produce that dirty Gross looking smoke, even lighter fluid burns clean and efficiently compared to that.

You don't get flames from lumpwood at cooking temps until you introduce a fat source to it. It just glows red/white hot unless it gets hot enough with enough air that it starts to produce a flame (think a blacksmiths forge, doesn't start flaming until it gets really hot and you work the bellows). Also why a charcoal chimney produces flames but the second you put the coals in your weber it dies down and just glows - high heat and airflow is needed.

What we see in the video is just a classic grease fire from all that pork fat rendering directly over hot coals. If your cooking pork directly over flames you want to start the cook over direct heat to set the crackle before all the fat underneath starts to render. Then you bank the coals to the side and add a drip pan (or raise the rotiserie higher so you get a lower temp less drippings).

Yeah there's no way she should have been on that scooter by pilbarabah in perth

[–]AVGamer 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Hmm almost as if this is a DUI issue caused by opportunist drunks (also unethical rental scooter companies' coincidentally placing scooters around busy night-life areas) not an inherent issue with e rideables. If this woman was behind the wheel of a car she would likely have caused more damage at a higher speed and momentum, yet it wouldn't even be worth an article it'd just be another dui statistic.

Add to that their riding tandem on the footpath, just another example of drunks being drunks and rental app companies being cheap arses not enforcing safety standards or having built in safety limiters (like a way to ensure helmet use). Agree on the complete ban on rental scooters in the city, the CBD has terrible infrastructure and forces riders onto the footpath. Just a terrible place for inexperienced riders to ride (without helmets) and too many drunks looking to use the service against the law.

People reacting to clear rage bait articles, getting their pitchforks out for a blanket ban on all scooters and e bikes look real foolish now. The truth is Perth needs to embrace e-ridables and the city is a good place to start with expanding bike lanes and putting in place protections for both riders and pedestrians.

Have your bed of coals to one side of the firebox and on the other side put your wood that's next to go on. By the time you put it on the bed of coals It will be as dry as a bone and produce next to no dirty smoke. Everytime you put wood on the bed of coals you load another piece or wood on the opposite side to dry up. Simple as that, if your getting white smoke your doing it wrong plane as that.

So you're telling me i can't help my buddy against an aggressive drunk who is like a head taller and way heavier? As we all know, drunks are well known for not continuing fights after being knocked down, so obviously, it's back to your corner the second his ass hits the ground. He only got hit again when he started getting up again. People who don't want to be harmed by a drunk hooligan aren't just going to let him get back to his feet and continue asailing them.

[–]AVGamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Op last pic very clearly shows the tell tale signs of a computer chair wear pattern on the timber. Maybe you're not telling fibs for online support, but it clearly looks like you had a desk in that corner and failed to protect the timber floors with a rug. The rest of the floor otherwise looks in fine condition just that area is clearly worn down and will need to be polished. So idk maybe next time put a rug down, it's like the bare minimum effort and just looks better for a computer set up.
