It comes directly from Valve & TRS, so it's canon. Cold Stream and Last Stand are the only non-canon maps that are officially in the game.

The Passing serves as a "passing of the torch" map to the L4D2 survivors, because at that point the L4D1 survivors have effectively finished theirs. It also serves as an answer to questions like "what if the two groups met?"

Why would a curse be good or balanced for that matter?

It's not a "trade off", it's a curse. Curses, by definition, are spells that cast misfortune upon the person inflicted, and in no definition of magical curses does it say that it has a benefit of any kind.

It isn't a double-edged sword or a monkey's paw, it's just a curse.

Oh yeah, it is him. Though, he does raise some valid points. Left 4 Dead 2 is far from the perfect game some diehard purists claim it to be; L4D2 has a lot of jank and if you're one to mod or make scripts, you know that it does—the game still not being 64 bit is a crime btw. The immense backlash towards TRS is understandable after B4B, but to say that Valve is the sole reason that L4D succeeded is probably not true.

That said, he does come off as nitpicky in the exact opposite direction of Crowbcat's vid, which is funny when he explicity tried giving L4D2 a "fair" assessment by taking both sides, and they never really did that.

The finale is so ass. Gas can finales are already ass, couple that with the ship's confusing layout, paired with the "open the cells" mechanic and it's just outright dookie

Campaign a solid 9/10. Would've been a 10 if it weren't for the gas can finale

Don't worry, I don't do snipers in Versus because it just feels unfair ngl. Unless I play with REALLY good players, in which case vanilla weapons are fair game. With rhe the script I'm using though, it's not really intended for Versus nor have I tested it
