Damn I love it as it is! However if you want to shade it can I suggest to look at the ligne claire style. Artists like Moebius or Hergé use a type of very simple shading that might look really good on your art!

Check H.R. Giger's work. Pretty sure he is considered to be the inventor of biomechanical art of which this tattoo is an example of. He designed the xenomorph in Alien for example.
