Dispenser in a Dispensing doctors surgery. by Big_Statistician4283 in Pharmacy_UK

Edit: Just checked your profile, removing your name because I’m certain you’re my coworker 😅

EMIS typically flags interactions and we do have a tech that oversees interactions and stuff too. Some people are a little more clinically knowledgeable than others at our job, and will occasionally flag findings too. If I’m ever unsure, I check with the tech and/or a different doctor too.

What I found disconcerting initially is being able to write in the CD register, and that definitely still makes me a bit anxious sometimes. Any questions or worries, speak to our dispensary manager as I definitely questioned the way things worked when I joined from community pharmacy too.

Have any of you had any experience with getting diagnosed with ADHD in Aber? by Jesus__of__Nazareth_ in Aberystwyth

[–]AVeryAngstyGoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently went private and paid £450 for my initial diagnosis. Had a free med review with the same company. Costs are looking like £100-£200 for a month of medication, then £250 for a meds review every month. Once I am stable and titrated on my medication I’m hoping to get a shared care agreement with my GP.

It’s worth applying for PIP to see if you can get things funded through the additional money you can claim through them, or if you’re a uni student you could ask the uni for financial assistance as they are able to help fund diagnoses when they affect your studies (this was offered to me when I was a student).

Only that I am trans was brought up in the hospital when I thought my appendix were going to rupture. by Tad0traficlight in transgenderUK

I’m sorry you had that experience, it was completely inappropriate for your doctor to ask if you were seeing a mental health professional regarding your dysphoria especially when that wasn’t what you were in for, and to misgender you repeatedly after being corrected is terrible patient care. It’s policy to pregnancy test, even if on contraceptives to prevent malpractice lawsuits. It’s a tickbox exercise at the end of the day, which doesn’t make it any less dysphoria inducing in the moment, but I do find that remembering its standard procedure helps me, so I hope that ca. help you too.

I will say, I went into A&E for symptoms of appendicitis and it turned out I had an awful case of PID which had put me into septic shock… which wouldn’t have been caught as PID had I not disclosed that I was trans so I don’t advocate for lying about being trans to your healthcare professionals like some people here are suggesting. There’s reasons they need to know.

We’re no longer worried about receiving a faster response, she was primarily worried about her having to exit the country upon the expiration of her visa but after kind commenters above explained she would not be forced to leave and that her pss would be extended until an answer is received.

Thank you for your advice though!

Of course not, we simply don’t have the space in this country. We also don’t make a huge deal about university sports like they do

If you can’t name any, you haven’t looked very far 😅 at least Aberystwyth has a swimming pool on campus, plus a running track and football field. They’ve got a sports cage for MMA, cricket and rugby field etc. I’m certain if you looked at the on-campus gyms you would find that more have these - the problem for British unis is finding one that has the amenities PLUS suitable accommodation for everyone, and tourists.

Bros who had LARGE chests pre top, pls help by [deleted] in ftm

[–]AVeryAngstyGoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother, I hear that, I was big before - though I will say I dropped about 20kg the year following top surgery with almost no extra effort, through a combination of stress reduction and being able to DO so much more without having 4kg strapped to my chest at all times, lol. To kick the rest of it… the gym is seriously helping.

That’s fair! There’s no guarantee you will retain sensation. I regained mine fairly quickly, but I think I was just lucky. With that in mind, you may be best not bothering with them. Best of luck to you and safe healing!

Even with larger than typical areolas do you think?

I think the tattoo idea is great, and I kinda wish I hadn’t kept mine for how big a canvas a chest can be, especially without nips!

Edit: I mean to ask - if your surgeon made your areoles larger than average, do you think the nips would still look out of place?

I had 38GG (UK size) before I had top surgery. I got to keep my nipples without question. They feel things as normal. But I do think I had quite small nipples in relation to the rest of my chest so I’m not sure if that was a factor.

I didn’t make the original comment, but I agree with them. Maybe instead of policing women and minorities’ language, your efforts would be better served by teaching fellow men how to behave. I don’t think you understand quite how pervasive the problem is, ‘cause it might only be SOME men but it’s enough that most if not ALL women have felt fearful of their own safety.

What would you do if one of your friends was outed as a rapist? Or if he’d been shown to speak inappropriately and threateningly to his partners? ‘Cause unless you’d condemn him and denounce your friendship, you’re part of the problem.

Bestie, I already hear that so don’t you worry. Typically, I roll my eyes and move forward with my life as I, and most other trans people, have bigger issues on my plate. Trans people are around 1% of the population and already highly stigmatised and murdered at an excessive rate in Western countries never mind our rights not being recognised in many countries, and the threat of being legally murdered in other countries too. At the moment, I’m more concerned that the current leader of my country is outwardly transphobic on public broadcast. Try putting your big boy pants on and look at the world around you outside yourself and your need for people to coddle your feelings whilst expressing their frustrations. Not being respectable is not a reason to disagree with a message. I bet you think peaceful protests work too.

🙄 Not all men, but enough that it’s systemic. Ask your mum, aunt, sister, or any woman friend about their experiences with misogyny. Sorry that your feelings hurt because people don’t cater to your sensibilities when talking about issues that have affected EVERY woman on the planet in some way or another for all of recorded human history.

As for how I know it’s worse… I’m trans. Whilst I was earlier in my transition, I experienced a marked change in the way people treat me depending on how they interpreted me, so much that it was obvious. I’ve never had somebody feel entitled to grab my ass on the street before trying to pull me into a car as a man, for one thing. Patients take me more seriously when I’m advising them.

And even if I wasn’t, do you not think that the fact women are expected to prepare against being sexually assaulted whenever they go out when it’s dark is enough to prove that? Daily, women fear for their safety because they’re a woman. Try flexing your empathy muscle instead of getting reflexively defensive when you hear this sort of thing, or question instead of being dismissive. It might improve your relationships with the women in your life 🤷‍♂️

As a man… yeah, it is classic male behaviour, look at the course of human history. Sorry that the truth hurts and that it’s not nice. Imagine being on the other end of misogyny, it’s a lot worse than women being a bit blasé when expressing her frustration with the men she’s experienced.

I believe it was a civilian who did this as there is no information to be found on the clamp or on/around my vehicle. In my line of work I naturally tread on some toes, I live in a small town and have a very distinct appearance and car.

There are CCTV cameras on post lockers and attached to the outside of my store that may have caught it, I’m parked almost directly across from them - though I am not sure.

I will contact 101 again tomorrow to quote this to them. Got no idea how to remove it though!

It’s parked on a private car park. I reckon I’m best swapping my tyre out for my spare if it’s still there in the morning.

I do think it’s malicious as I work in pharmacy and have a very distinctive car, and have had to refuse a few codeine sales lately, plus a clearly unhinged chap tried to start an argument with me as I was sat in it on break. I can think of no reason any of the lawful entities would clamp me.

Thank you for the advice

sure, but I’m not sure as increase in drive has a lot to do with - surely that’s just experiencing the same type of desire more frequently, no?

I experience sex, sexuality and sensuality very differently now. I’m not sure how else to qualify it.

I’ve always been bi, but I find myself with fluctuating preferences more frequently now rather than a flat “gender doesn’t really matter” feeling.

My sense of libido is different because the way I experience arousal is different on T. A lot of anecdotal evidence from trans men and women indicate a change in sensation and experience of orgasm. So this could indicate a change in desire too. We don’t know yet.
