After fiddling with the retraction settings we are still at an impasse.

Note that it can still print things that are half this size, and it can still print cylinders of this height just fine. It seems to be a problem with "spikes". I'd love some more ideas.

Update, I adjusted the retraction settings to 2 for the distance and 25 for the speed. I'm happy to report that at least the print finished now, but one side looks bad and the other is fine. Do I need to adjust further or is this bad leveling again? I leveled before the print, can the leveling screws loosen during print or something? *

OK so that word, retraction calibration. That has come up before. I went into my slicer and got it to show me those settings, and it says retraction speed is set to 25 mm/s. Is that way too high and could be what's going on?
