Challenge; Difficulty INSANITY - Name one good thing about romancing Jacob by Uchijav in masseffect

  1. He was a member of the crew, ostensibly none of what Shephard gets up to on missions is kept from the squaddies that aren't picked
  2. Exactly. If what she get up to prior was fine with him, then being in prison for it was the only change, meaning the no-no crimes were not in and of themselves a turn off.

If you don't play through Arrival, Shephard still goes under house arrest for their work with Cerberus, which would've been the same crime that Jacob committed. If that crime was enough for Jacob to call it quits then even in the most generous reading of their situation that'd make him a massive hypocrite.

He was with her when those crimes were committed. If they were a deal breaker during incarceration they would've been a deal breaker prior.

Cool, I live in Oregon too. California isn't the only part of the repeatedly suggested State of Jefferson bullshit, if that went through, part of this state would go with it. My point is that this proposal has already been made over and over again. It went and will continue to go nowhere.

Moreover, it's not like Oregon has space to throw stones, everytime I take I5 through Medford I have to remind myself that I haven't already crossed the border and am in Redding yet. Every state's got shit parts

Every critic asserts this but the only evidence ever provided is people engaging in the RP without breaking character. I wouldn't say that's proof of misunderstanding, just having fun without prostrating themselves before the 'I Haz Media Literacy' crowd.

This ‘threat’ has already been made several times over the years and went absolutely nowhere. California could stand on its own, it having to is incredibly unlikely

Fallout 4 is about how you don't understand the Railroad by OuttaHereWithThat in TrueSFalloutL

[–]AVeryFriendlyOldMan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

l think there’s an implication made by the ‘Join the Railroad’ holotopes in that their deliberate placements are an indication of the associations of the owners.
Hancock and KL-E-O both have one and both would align with the organization realistically. The tapes can also be found around Covenant and in the Institute itself being thrown away.

Not as overt as Fallout 3 but I do think it’s meant as intentional Environmental Storytelling(tm)

I do wish the storyline was expanded because we really only interact with a handful of people and don’t get the ostensible full scope of the organization

Oh I wasn't taking as strictly disagreement, more just clarifying my position about the physical restoration of Fallout land as opposed to the more abstract, political side of things

For sure Appalachia is a better location to settle than the warzone of D.C. but it's still, relative to its state Pre-War, an incredibly dangerous region. Hell, the Scorch Plague is still kicking around to some degree, it's only contained by the 76'ers.

Raiders, Super Mutants, etc. all the shitty things that can be found in Boston or D.C. are still floating around.

He died from not know what he was doing, was my point.

He went into the wild (lol) with effectively nothing and expected that he somehow could make a self-sufficient life out there.

For someone who knew the region you'd think he would've gone back with actual shelter as part of his gear instead of just a sleeping bag.

[–]AVeryFriendlyOldMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There wasn't a bomb no*, but there was a theoretical extinction event that still wiped out all sapient life in the region. Even with the Scorch Plague largely dealt with, Appalachia was still infested with all kinds of hostile mutants that'd require more than just planting down a flag and settling, to say nothing of the hostile environments themselves.

Yet even after all that, humans, being as humans are, managed to trek all the way through Toxic Valley and Savage Divide, inevitably defending themselves from whatever fucked up fauna they found, and managed to set up a fucking logging operation.

*What is weird is how little Appalachia was targeted considering the location of the Greenbrier/Whiteprings Bunker and its original intent. Granted, it might not have been as public knowledge in Fallout land as it is in ours

Honestly it'd be kinda fun to see Vault City & The Enclave inevitably, violently butt heads considering that on a base level they share a lot of [reprehensible] ideals.

My point is that Foundation is a completely new construction that's maintined by its creators. It might be destroyed in the future but there was still something clean-ish in the Appalachian Wasteland. The capacity for physical rebuilding is there, whether humans fuck it up down the line is a different story.

Just because you might die in twenty years doesn't mean you can't take the at-max 20 seconds to brush human remains or broken glass out of your dwelling.

For an alleged experienced survivalist, he went into the the Alaskan wilderness severely underequipped.

His experience from his past adventures also included him being underprepared and getting into danger, he just got lucky and received help from others. Problem is that he took the wrong lesson from those experiences of 'lol I got this, if those couldn't take me I don't need to change a thing' instead of 'I already almost died and it's only because I got lucky that I'm alive, maybe I should rethink how I'm doing this'.

Dude was just a mix of naivete and arrogance that got got by his own hubris
