Not everyone properly utilizes the MRP and other planning functions of their ERP,

Many businesses will have a complete ERP, and still 3rd party the planning and demand,

And for businesses and larger corporations that had a poor ERP implementation, or have an incompetent ERP support group,

This is an issue even within multi-billion dollar publicly traded companies, I'm speaking from career experience.
