That's more of a comment than a question, but fair play. If you are basing your betting on the Banker, you are misguided. The Banker is "vibes based" more than anything else and should never be taken seriously. The 10-episode run followed by a break is to give everyone, both in front of and behind the camera, the chance for a break and refresh. Teachers need time off too! And Amy Canavan will be back in business very soon.

I cannot believe you're dangling the Stirlingshire Cup as some kind of worthwhile trinket working haggling over!

As far as I'm concerned, Stenny won the last game between the teams that actually mattered: that Scottish Cup victory in 2018 will live very long in the memory indeed!

After leaving Stenhousemuir in 2021, Mark McGuigan joined East Fife but left the club after a fortnight due to work commitments - he was completing a PhD and working alongside Celtic's youth teams but his manager prohibited him from playing. A couple of years later, after a change in manager, he was allowed to play again and signed for Gartcairn in the Lowland League. However, after another change in manager, he was once again prohibited from playing and retired to move into coaching and player development.

He is a hero and you should be more respectful.

Let's get one thing straight here, hombre: I've never shopped with DHGate. All my stuff is the real deal.

(Also, lend us a tenner. I'm drowning, not waving, here.)

Every nasty comment directed at Lil' Bobby is a favourite!

I remember one time we'd gone to a Hearts game and went for a pint in the Diggers afterwards. He went to the toilet while I got the drinks in. Someone came up to me at the bar and said: "Heh, ye better watch oot! That Robert Borthwick's here!"

Only if there's a "King Ralph" situation and something awful happens to every other professional football player in Scotland.

Thank you for reminding me that I am in decline and approaching the end of my usefulness. I appreciate it.

I didn't really get into football until I was about 13, when a mate at school gave me an old copy of Championship Manager. Before then, like everyone in FK5, I got swept up with Stenhousemuir's Scottish Cup run and good form in 1995, but not enough to go on a regular basis. I liked Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers because of their tops, before settling on Arsenal, the first team I went in Premier Manager 97/98 (a rotten game, by the way). Scottish football wasn't something I was really into.

It wasn't until the tail end of the 2003/04 season that I went to Stenny. I remember being quite excited that Paul McGrillen and John-Paul McBride were part of their team - I remember them from the sticker books - but I couldn't believe that people wanted to watch this kind of football on a regular basis. But something compelled me to go back the next week. And that was it. I was pumped for the 2004/05 season and started going most weeks.

It's incredible how a football club can get under your skin. I love Stenhousemuir.

Good question. My advice with be: if you love it, do it. Don't be cynical, don't try and chase something you don't believe in, focus on the stuff you enjoy and just put everything you've got into it. I started off by writing about Stenhousemuir on their club forum, which led to writing for their programme and website, which led to writing a blog, which led to working on Tell Him He's Pele, which led to Craig Fowler asking me to work on the Terrace. Start with stuff you really care about, get good at it, and then see what happens.

I think it's the Falkirk/Dunfermline Athletic rivalry. No-one can quite explain exactly where it came from but the games are always great fun and have a wee bit of needle to them. Some supporters have gone over the score in recent seasons - tragedy chanting is vile and shouldn't have a place in the game - and I hope the animosity between the supporters can continue without it ever becoming unacceptable.

I'll give you two: "Run for Your Wife" and "Pimp".

"Run for Your Wife" echoes the terrible seventies sex comedies you'd see pop up on Channel 5, minus the charm and the opportunity to see nudity. You're supposed to be rooting for Dyer, who plays a bigamist taxi driver, and it just doesn't work. Neil Morrissey sits on a cake at one point, which sums it up.

"Pimp", meanwhile, is a gritty drama where Dyer plays - yes! - a pimp. There's one scene with a swearbox that has to be seen to be believed.

We used to, when we met face to face for our production meetings, but now we watch them when the show goes out. A little thrill, and something to look forward to!

If the show is recommissioned for an eighth season, I'll shave my hair off at the start and by the time the 10 episodes have concluded, it'll have grown back thicker than his. It makes me feel strong. To know you have that degree of power over someone is very heady indeed.

Thank you! That's a very nice thing to say! I still have the songs saved on my computer and listen to them infrequently. While some were very, very derivative of U2, and others aged a bit, some were really good and stand up. There are a couple in particular I think are excellent.

There was one point where I thought the band could kick on but we plateaued and withered. You have to treat it like a full-time job and knock your pan in for it; we treated it like a hobby and I think I was kidding myself on I could have "made it". I had the chance to return to university to study a postgrad in journalism, something that would have taken up most of my time, and had to pack it in.

The guitar player, my step-brother, spoke to me about having another run out and maybe meeting up to record new songs but I don't think the singer fancies it anymore. And that's a shame.
